Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) expanded its Hawaii network over the past year by adding over two dozen new cell sites on Oahu, along with several others on the Big Island, Kauai, Maui, Molokai, and Lanai. Furthermore, Verizon added its 4G long-term evolution cell sites on Oahu in Kaneohe, Pearl City, Sand Island, Mapunapuna, downtown Honolulu, Iwilei, Makiki, Aiea, Mililani, Ewa Beach, Makaha, the Enchanted Lake and Luana Hills sections of Kalua, Schofield Barracks, the University of Hawaii area in Manoa, Kualoa, Turtle Bay, and Barbers Point. Also, the company added 3G cell sites in Mililani, Ewa Beach, Schofield Barracks, Manoa and Kualoa, according to the company’s statement.
