US-based SkyWest (NASDAQ:SKYW) has agreed to buy 100 regional jets that seat 70-90 passengers each from Japan’s Mitsubishi Aircraft in a deal valued at $4.2 billion. SkyWest also has the option to buy another 100 of the next generation, fuel-efficient jets. Deliveries commence from 2017 and the optional order may be delivered from 2021.
Kazuo Okada’s Universal Entertainment Corporation Group and its subsidiary are reported to have launched a criminal complaint against Stephen Wynn, chairman of Wynn Resorts (NASDAQ:WYNN), claiming they were allegedly subjected to defamation, damage to credit and other harm as a result of a press release posted by Wynn Resorts on its website on February 19, 2012.

A report in the Star Tribune says Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) founder Richard Schulze, working against a December 16 deadline, will make an offer ranging between $5 billion-$6 billion to acquire the electronics retailer by the end of the week. According to the report, Schulze was able to put his financing in place last weekend, securing commitments from bankers and PE players including Cerberus, Leonard Green & Partner and the Texas Pacific Group.
