The company has enjoyed double-digit year-over-year percentage revenue growth for the past four quarters. Over that span, the company has averaged growth of 15.5%, with the biggest boost coming in the most recent quarter when revenue rose 16.5% from the year earlier quarter.
The decrease in profit in the first quarter broke a streak of three consecutive quarters of year-over-year profit increases. Net income rose 77.2% in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year, 2% in the third quarter of the last fiscal year and 52.5% in the second quarter of the last fiscal year.
Stock Price Performance: Between December 2, 2011 and March 1, 2012, the stock price rose $9.92 (18.6%), from $53.36 to $63.28. The stock price saw one of its best stretches over the last year between January 27, 2012 and February 9, 2012, when shares rose for 10 straight days, increasing 8.3% (+$4.87) over that span. It saw one of its worst periods between November 15, 2011 and November 25, 2011 when shares fell for eight straight days, dropping 6.9% (-$3.71) over that span.
