The staff at PGA Tour Entertainment put together its favorite hole-in-ones from the 2013 season, and in partnership with Golf Digest, GeoffShackelford.com posted the team’s list on its site. We figured what better way to celebrate the end of another successful year than to highlight the staff’s top choices, tipping our hat to the PGA Tour professionals who rounded up this season’s best hole-in-one moments. There were a total of 30 holes-in-ones on the PGA Tour in 2013 — see if you agree with the staff’s top 9.
Update: while we didn’t think that there were any hole-in-ones the 2014 PGA tour that merited any particular mention, we thought this list deserved a revisit and we hope the 2015 season will bring more sensational golf highlights.
9. Shawn Stefani — 2013 U.S. Open
Up first at No. 9 is Shawn Stefani’s hole-in-one that he scored at the U.S. Open. Stefani put himself in the history books by making his ace on 17, and was the first player ever to do so at a U.S. Open at Merion. His hole-in-one marked the 43rd in U.S. Open history. Whether or not you agree with Stefani’s placement on the list, you have to agree his reaction is priceless.
