You can have all the talent in the world, but if you don’t have a capable person pulling the strings, then it won’t make a difference. The fact is, if you want to be successful in college basketball, then you better have a great coach. Unfortunately, bringing in that kind of talent is going to cost you. Big time.
USA Today did the research, put together the data, and figured out which coaches in college basketball were paid the most in 2015. It used specific methodology to come to these conclusions and focused on the 68 coaches who led their teams to the NCAA tournament last season. If there’s anything to take away from this list, its that some coaches earn significantly more money that others. The top seven highest-paid coaches in college basketball are proof of that.
