4 Energy Stock Stories for Fueling Thursday Investment Chatter

Enbridge Energy Partners (NYSE:EEP): Closing price $29

Enbridge reported on Wednesday that the expenses from the additional cleanup from a large Michigan oil spill three years ago could push the total bill beyond the limit of its insurance coverage, detering its financial results. Earlier in March, the firm received an order from the Environmental Protection Agency, mandating more containment and recovery of oil from its Line 6B, which ruptured in the summer of 2010, prompting Enbridge to now estimate that the total cleanup cost will increase by $175 million, to $820 million.
