Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL): Not even a day after Australian police issued a warning advising drivers to avoid the use of iOS 6’s new Maps app, Apple repaired error leaving some drivers stranded in a national park. A report in The Register reveals that the data error was allegedly a result of a confusing entry in the Australian Gazetteer, generally considered an “authoritative” list of over 300,000 place names and coordinates. The entry located the town of Mildura as being both its actual city location and as being in the area where the stranded motorists ended up. Apple incorporated the data source into Maps, causing further confusion.
Google Inc.’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) Larry Page stated in an interview with Fortune that he believes that mobile ads are the early stages of monetization, adding that mobile technology opens doors to things that couldn’t be done before. He stated, “I think with those things, we’re going to make more money than we do now,” and he vocalized that he hopes that Google and Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) will be able to work more cooperatively for the benefit of end users along with the company’s ongoing focus on social through Google Plus.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT): A new SkyDrive app for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 will let users upload content to Microsoft’s cloud storage service from PCs and mobile devices, and then the user will have the ability to view it on the game console. Users will be able to see images, videos, and documents on the TV connected to the Xbox, according to Microsoft’s blog post on Tuesday.
Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) was called a Top 25 ”Dividend Giant” byETF Channel, due to a the huge $2.71 billion worth of stock that is held by ETFs, along with higher than normal ”DividendRank” statistics, which includes a strong 4.49 percent yield, the newest Dividend Channel ”DividendRank” report shows. The report stated that there was a strong quarterly dividend history at Intel Corp, along with favorable long-term multi-year growth rates in the main fundamental data points.
