Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL): Incorrect, unreliable, poorly thought out … the list of words being used to describe inaccuracies in Apple Inc.’s maps app can now include “potentially life-threatening”. Police in Mildura, Australia are warning drivers to be careful about using Apple Maps to find the city, which the app has placed more than 40 miles (70 kilometers) away in the Outback. Calling it a “potentially life-threatening issue,” police say the mapping system lists Mildura, a city of 30,000 people, as being in the middle of Murray-Sunset National Park.
Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG): According to Bloomberg, filings show that Google Inc. has avoided about $2 billion in worldwide income taxes in 2011 by shifting revenues into a Bermuda Shell company, nearly doubling the total from three years ago.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT): Steve Ballmer said that Microsoft Corporation is seriously considering producing more of their own hardware. It appears that Microsoft is unable find a reliable design partner, even in older companies like IBM, Dell, Toshiba, Sony and HP and the newer ones such as Samsung, Lenovo, LG and Asus as well as the white-box manufacturers.
Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC): Clover Trail is Intel’s answer to the inexpensive, power-frugal ARM architecture processors that sit inside most smartphones, Apple’s iPads and most Android tablets. Other Windows 8 tablets, including Microsoft’s forthcoming Surface Pro, will pack more powerful Intel Core series chips, but these tablets will be heavier, more expensive and more power-hungry.
