Astrazeneca Plc (NYSE:AZN): Reuters reports, AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb (NYSE:BMY), Merck (NYSE:MRK) and Sanofi (NYSE:SNY) have all given their first round offers to Amylin Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:AMLN), and bids are higher than $25 per share. During the next several weeks, second-round bids will be sought. The shares closed at $40.08, down $0.33 or 0.82% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $40.14 to $52.47.
Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL): Though Dell was said to be on the verge of a deal to purchase Quest Software (NASDAQ:QSFT) at a price of $23-$26, Dell’s negotiations to purchase have ended. The shares closed at $12.07, down $0.26 or 2.11% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $13.29 to $18.36.
Exfo Inc (NASDAQ:EXFO): Due to a revenue level for Q3 of 2012 which is lower than expected, EXFO’s gross margin should show a negative affect and IFRS net earnings will end lower than EXFO’s company’s initial outlook of 1c-5c per diluted share. The shares closed at $5.45, down $0.68 or 11.09% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $5.25 to $10.27.
Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN): Groupon’s decline adds to its huge loss yesterday, ahead of the expiration, allowing 600M shares to be sold for the first time. Less than three weeks ago, Groupon staged a large pre- and post-earning rally. The shares closed at $9.69, down $0.95 or 8.93% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $9.63 to $31.14.
