General Motors Company (NYSE:GM): A welding error by a supplier has caused 119,000 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon trucks from the 2010 through 2012 model years to be recalled, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.

Toyota Motor Corporation (NYSE:TM): The first estimate of the damage that was caused by a fire at a Toyota assembly plant located in Chachoengsao on Sunday night totals nearly Bt50 million. The fire occurred at about 7pm at an engine oil storage tank of the Toyota plant in Ban Pho district, which is nearly 100 km east of the capital. Toyota executives working at the plant and Chachoengsao Governor Ruengsak Mahavinitchaimontri visited the site at midnight, and a press briefing later was held later. Pairoj Hirunruangrong, who is the current senior president of Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Engineering and Manufacturing Co Ltd (TMAP-EM), has claimed that the fire destroyed the storage, pallets, engine oil, and ten forklifts.

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (NYSE:HMC): The new Honda CR-V is the British sports utility vehicle (SUV) that earned the honor of being the prestigious ‘4×4 of the Year’ from Total 4×4 Magazine. This will be the new CR-V’s first award win since it arrived in dealerships only two months earlier.
