Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) gained 0.01 percent today. The stock price looks like it is settling after an investment by Carl Icahn brought the price up by nearly $14 on October 31.

Offshore drilling contractor Transocean (NYSE:RIG) pushed as much as 4.13 percent higher in the mid-day after releasing third-quarter results. Revenue grew 23 percent year over year to $2.44 billion. The company reported a loss of $381, or $1.06 per share.
Toyota Motors (NYSE:TM) posted second-quarter results that describe a mixed future for the company. Full-year profit forecasts are up by 2.53 percent, but Chinese output expectations remain about 40 percent lower. Revenue increased 36.1 percent to 10.9 trillion yen ($138 billion at 79 yen to the dollar). Shares climbed 2.45 percent in Tokyo, and as much as 4 percent in the U.S.
Shares of Tesla Motors (NASDAQ:TSLA) traded nearly 7.79 percent higher today after its third-quarter earnings release and a strong 2013 forecast. Revenue grew 127 percent to $50.1 million. Earnings per share missed estimates by 2 cents, coming in at -$0.92. The company is now producing 200 cars per week, hitting what the earnings release calls “the critical threshold needed for Tesla to generate positive operating cash flow.”
