Japan’s Mitsubishi Aircraft reaches a deal Thursday to sell 100 jets to SkyWest (NASDAQ:SKYW) for $4.2 billion along with providing an option to buy another 100 planes. The former anticipates delivery of the first batch of planes in 2017 while the optional order could be delivered from 2021, according to AFP.
Starbucks Corporation’s (NASDAQ:SBUX) official website indicates that it might be selling its new Verismo brewer at a discount and its shares are reacting as one would expect. It is unclear whether the reduction is holiday related or not, the Verismo 580 line is $50 cheaper at $149 each, while the V•585 brewer is discounted by $100 to $299. Meanwhile, the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (NASDAQ:GMCR) VUE line, which includes the V600 and V700, is regularly priced at $209.99 and $229.99, respectively.

On Thursday, New York Times Co. (NYSE:NYT) announced the intro of two publishing programs: New York Times short e-books co-published with the digital startup Byliner and TimesFiles with Vook. Working with Byliner, The Times will co-publish as many as a dozen New York Times / Byliner Originals in 2013 that feature narratives in areas in which the newspaper possesses reporting expertise among which include business, culture, sports, science and health.
Shares of Tata Motors (NYSE:TTM) spiked on Thursday following reports by Jaguar and Land Rover of a strong retail volume growth of 13.5 percent year-over-year in November with 29,893 units. The sales jump was mostly fueled by impressive growth in Land Rover volumes, which posted a better-than-anticipated growth of 17.2 percent year-over-year, according to Angel Broking.
