Stocks 52-Week Highs Feb 15th: AAPL, ABD, ACFN, ADS, AWH

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL): In response to reports that numerous iOS applications have been accessing, transmitting and storing user contact data without explicit permission, an Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) spokesperson told AllThingsD that soon apps will require explicit user permission to use that type of data. A rumor that Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) weighting in the NASDAQ 100 index could be reduced circulated earlier today, according to Business Insider. Such a reduction would affect ETFs, the publication added. The shares closed at $497.67, down $11.79 or 2.31% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $310.50 to $509.56.

Acco Brands Corp. (NYSE:ABD): Expects 2012 revenue flat, with modest growth at constant currency offset by negative impacts of foreign currency translation. The shares closed at $11.57, up $0.3 or 2.66% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $4.33 to $11.40.

Acorn Energy (NASDAQ:ACFN): Acorn Energy announced the signing and closing of an agreement to purchase OmniMetrix, a leading developer and producer of remote monitoring equipment and systems for emergency power generators and underground pipelines. The purchase price is $8.5M, subject to adjustment as provided in the purchase agreement. Pritchard Capital Partners served as an advisor to Acorn Energy in this transaction. The shares closed at $8.63, down $0.22 or 2.49% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $3.33 to $8.87.

Alliance Data System (NYSE:ADS): Alliance Data Systems provided an update on its Private Label segment. In conjunction with the release of the company’s Master Trust Monthly Noteholder’s Statement, the company is releasing similar metrics for the overall total managed portfolio. The company reports December average receivables $5,471,877 and Net nharge-offs $27,617. The shares closed at $120.62, up $0.39 or 0.32% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $75.31 to $120.42.

Allied World  (NYSE:AWH): Allied World reports Q4 EPS $2.40 vs. consensus $1.17. The shares closed at $65.93, up $0.34 or 0.52% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $49.00 to $65.76.
