The iPad Mini, rumored to be launching next week, is expected to be available in four different storage capacities and two color options. That will mean that Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is planning 24 different varieties of the new, smaller tablet likely to be officially announced at an October 23 media event.
The full list of the product’s stock-keeping units, or SKUs, shows a total of 24 varieties, according to Apple Insider. Four models with four different storage capacities are likely to be offered. Each of the four different descriptions also comes with three different distinctions of Good, Better, and Best, which could signify Wi-Fi-only, 3G, and 4G LTE models, respectively. Each model is also available in A and B variants, possibly identifying the color options of black and white. The entry-level model may offer 8 GB of capacity, lower than the base model for the full-size iPad that offers 16 GB of storage.

The blog also reports that initial shipments suggest availability of the entry-level model will be the highest at launch.
Apple has not spoken publicly about the new iPad, but analysts expect the company to release the tablet as a price-rival to the cheaper tablets of Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) and Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), among others. It is expected to have a 7.85-inch display and a processor that is slightly weaker than the full-size iPad’s.
