iOS 6, the new version of Apple’s software for the iPhone and the iPad, is set to get iCloud Tabs support, Mail VIPs, and a Notification Center enhancement, according to 9TO5Mac. The operating system is rumored to be launching this fall with a redone in-house Apple Maps and other improvements.
The iCloud Tabs feature will let iCloud users view all tabs that were opened in a Safari web browser across multiple iOS devices and Macs. Users will be able to pick out individual tabs to reopen on any of their connected device. Another crossover feature would be Mail VIPs, which lets users star certain emails received from a specified group of people. This is also expected to be synced across iOS 6 iPads, iPhones, iPod touches, and OS X Mountain Lion Macs. The Notification Center change is basically a “Do Not Disturb” feature that can quickly disable alerts and banners for notifications.
One thing’s for sure, Apple investors can’t wait to see what the next big OS will do to the industry!
