Ford Blesses Us With Another Year of the Mustang Shelby GT350
Among the changes will be tweaks to the bumpers and the availability of a 10-speed automatic transmission. There is also a new range-topping model in the works expected to revive the Shelby GT500 moniker. (We’ve heard it might arrive as a 2017 model.)
However, new dealer ordering info, obtained by Mustang6G, suggests that the 2018 Shelby GT350 will miss out on most of the changes being introduced with the Mustang’s mid-cycle update and will instead only offer buyers some new color options.
Mustang6G posits that the standard Mustang, as part of its update, is being made to resemble the Shelby GT350, which is why the actual Shelby GT350 won’t be receiving any visual tweaks of its own.
There are also rumors that the Shelby GT350 could receive a dual-clutch transmission, though this is looking unlikely given the latest dealer ordering info.
Stay tuned for an update.
