Watch Live: The 2016 Toyota Prius Reveal
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Fuel Economy: It’s expected that the 2016 Prius will improve on the exiting generation’s 51/48 city/highway fuel economy, and likely approach 60 miles per gallon around town — or surpass it.
- Styling: After playing it safe since it’s debut in America in 2001, Toyota is ready to give the Prius some personality. Expect it to take some cues from the radically designed Mirai hydrogen vehicle.
- Price: Despite the updates, we expect the pricing to remain consistent so that it remains competitive in a field that’s growing more crowded with each passing year.
- Interior: Expect a higher-end interior, with more emphasis on nicer materials.
Will it deliver? We’ll have to find out. Stay tuned.
