5 of the Most Expensive Airplane Seats You Can Buy

There are those who fly, and those who soar. It seems like even the most indulgent of travelers are batting an eye at some of the most over-the-top, ridiculously tricked-out seats, or shall we say cabins, in the sky. Whether you’re a discerning millionaire or a frequent traveler who’s looking to splurge, here are some of the most outrageous flight accommodations out there. Note: The ticket prices listed in this post are for one way-tickets and include taxes and fees. Each airline’s website was searched for a ticket on the same day, January 3, 2016, and all flights depart from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. 1. Emirates

Emirates Airlines’ first class experience is truly one for the indulgent. Not only do passengers get to enjoy private suites and an onboard lounge for socializing with fellow passengers, but they even have access to a personal A380 shower spa. Forget worrying about brushing your teeth in the airport restroom after you deplane and before being greeted by your loved ones — when you fly first class aboard Emirates, you can step off the plane fully refreshed. This space, which is essentially a hotel room, has a living room with a double seat sofa, ottoman, two dining tables, and a flat screen TV. The separate bedroom has a double bed and luxury linens, and the ensuite bathroom is complete with a shower. A one-way ticket to Abu Dhabi International Airport costs $32,029.20.

3. Korean Air

With a sliding door and taller partition that allows passengers to see out into the aisle but not vice versa, the Kosmo Suite 2.0 offers guests an upgraded first class experience, with the added luxury of personal space and privacy. Offering comfort and freedom, the seat reclines to a comfortable position, complete with a flat screen for in-flight  entertainment. A price of a ticket will cost you $8,083.70.

Also be prepared to pay $4,4010.80 for your ticket.
