Unless you’ve been living in a cave (or lack the gift of sight altogether) you are probably familiar with optical illusions. Different illusions play to different strengths and weaknesses of the brain, but for the most part, a pattern in an image will reveal something else, something not immediately clear.

If your eyes and brain are “wired” the right way, the image will appear, either quickly, or over time. If you’re not “wired” that way, then chances are no amount of time is going to help you see what’s hiding in the picture.

The following image is a very basic black and white pattern that obscures another image. But don’t let the word “basic” fool you. It’s the black and white patterns that tend to alienate most of the people looking at illusions or puzzles like this.

So take a look on the next page and see if you’re one of the lucky ones.

The black and white may obscure the animals distinct black and white coloring. And if you feel bad that you’re STILL not getting it – don’t. Apparently, only 6% of the population can readily discern images in this way.
