An Inside Look at Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Table Menu
Breakfast is served! After much anticipation, Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Table is officially open for business.
Formerly known as Elite Cafe, the historic restaurant is not just another farm-to-table brunch spot. It’s a historic and beloved piece of Waco, Texas’ history. After months of renovation (and Chip’s favorite: demolition), the old restaurant received a famous Magnolia makeover.
But, it’s gorgeous decor isn’t the only reason to visit Waco’s latest fixer upper. The farm fresh menu is, too. From where they source the ingredients (page 5) to Chip’s famous menu item (page 7), we take a closer look at Magnolia Table’s menu, ahead.
1. They’re serving up breakfast, brunch, and lunch
Waco’s new favorite breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot is finally open! Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Table is open early, at 6 a.m., until late afternoon (3 p.m.) for all of your breakfast, brunch and lunch needs.
Next: The menus are expected to change.
2. Seasonal offerings
Like a true farm-to-table restaurant, Magnolia Table will have seasonal menus with items that are subject to change. No word on what future items will be, but the spring 2018 menu offers a variety of staples, as well as seasonal dishes like the restaurant’s seasonal soup selection.
Next: It wouldn’t be a breakfast and brunch spot without this.
3. An impressive coffee and drink menu
No breakfast and brunch spot is complete without a coffee and drink menu — and Magnolia Table has quite the lineup. From fresh green juices to breakfast staples like lattes, cappuccinos, and drip coffee, there’s something for everyone.
In addition to fresh juices and coffee items, they also offer Alabama sweet tea, Waco-made lemonade, sparkling water, and hot tea.

4. The kids menu items are named after their children
Chip and Joanna Gaines love to include their kids in their projects, especially when it’s something for their family. And, Magnolia Table is no exception. Many items on the menu are named after their kids. Our favorites? Ella’s Dipping Donuts and Emmie’s Grilled Cheese.
Next: You’ll never guess where they source their ingredients from.
5. Many of the ingredients come from Joanna’s garden
While most of their meats and produce are locally sourced, many of the vegetables used in various dishes are grown at the farmhouse in Joanna’s garden.
The garden — which was featured on an episode of Fixer Upper — is every plant lady’s dream with garden beds full of leafy greens, root vegetables, bean stocks, herbs, and more. In addition to vegetables, many of the eggs used in the breakfast and lunch dishes come from the family’s chickens, too!
Next: The restaurant isn’t the only way to enjoy Magnolia Table.
6. Table Take Away
Want to enjoy Magnolia Table’s menu without sitting down for breakfast, brunch, or lunch? Chip and Joanna have you covered with their Table Take Away. You can pick up select Magnolia Table items, order a cup of coffee, shop merchandise, and more in this unique area of the restaurant.
Next: This is one of the most recommended items on the menu.
7. Must-try menu items
From the highly recommended avocado toast to Chip’s infamous ham sandwich, there are a handful of mouth-watering items on the menu. Take a look at some of the items, ahead.
Avocado toast: No brunch menu is complete without avocado toast. Made with garlic aioli, fresh avocado, red pepper flakes, and sea salt on wheat berry toast, Magnolia Table’s take on the popular brunch item comes highly recommended.
Magnolia burger: Another must-try item? The mouth-watering Magnolia burger. Made with grass fed ground beef, melted cheddar, butter lettuce, and heirloom tomatoes — probably from Joanna’s garden — on a toasted brioche bun, the Magnolia burger is the perfect choice for lunch.
Chip’s ham sandwich: One more item that caught our attention? Chip’s ham sandwich — which is shown as a featured item on the brunch and lunch menu. Made with sliced grilled ham, melted cheddar and scrambled eggs on a croissant, Chip’s take on the classic sandwich sounds absolutely incredible.
