The anchor of The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer starts his morning by checking his email, according to Politico. Preparing for the day, “[I] take a look at some major news websites to see what happened overnight,” Blitzer said. He then watches CNN’s New Day while on the treadmill.

Katie Couric wakes up at 7 a.m. and must eat breakfast. “For me, that usually means Kashi cereal with fruit or a shake,” Couric told Harper’s Bazaar. She spends lots of her time traveling around New York City during which time she multitasks. “I make phone calls, answer emails, read articles, check out Twitter, call friends, and play Words With Friends,” Couric said.
Hint: Al Roker packs his son’s lunch in the early hours of the morning.
To prepare for his work on the Today show and Wake Up With Al, Al Roker wakes up at 3:05 a.m. every morning. While getting dressed he talks to Don Tsouhnikas, a meteorologist for the Today show. He prepares his son’s lunch, lets his dogs outside, and is at the studio by 4:45 a.m. to film Wake Up With Al for The Weather Channel after which he films the Today show, according to the network.

The alarm goes off at 3:40 a.m. for Hoda Kotb, anchor of the Today show. She washes her face with a Clarisonic and has breakfast after exercising. Then she’s at the studio getting her makeup done by 6:30 a.m. to prepare for filming, according to Us Weekly.
Hint: The Good Morning America crew makes sure Robin Roberts does her morning ritual.
The host of Good Morning America rises at 3:15 a.m. to start her day, according to The Wall Street Journal. She meditates for 20 minutes, a practice suggested to her from another host (page 7). A morning ritual of Roberts is to enter the studio and blow kisses to her deceased parents, according to The New York Times.

Lara Spencer, of Good Morning America, multitasks once she gets to the studio by getting her hair and makeup done while talking with producers about programming. But before she arrives at the studio, Spencer always stops at Dunkin’ Donuts for an egg-white sandwich.

George Stephanopoulos, of Good Morning America, wakes up at 2 a.m. to meditate then heads to the show’s studio in Times Square, according to the The New York Times. He eats breakfast at his desk while preparing for the show and catching up on the news.
