Want to Eat Like Kim or Khloe? The Kardashian and Jenner Sisters Love These Foods
Whether you love them or hate them, you have to admit that the Kardashian and Jenner sisters always look amazing. At least part of that has to come down to their diets.
In Kim’s case, we definitely want to know how she always looks her best, even when she’s working off that extra pregnancy weight. But Kim isn’t the only member of the Kardashian-Jenner with an interesting diet. If you want to eat like a Kardashian or a Jenner, you’ll also want to find out what Kylie — plus Kendall, Khloé, and Kourtney — love to eat.
It’s notoriously hard to keep up with the Kardashians and Jenners. But with the right diet, you might stand a chance. Below, check out the foods that Kim, Kylie, and the other Kardashian and Jenner sisters can’t live without.
1. Greek yogurt
People learned that one of Kim Kardashian’s favorite breakfast foods — especially when she’s sticking to a diet post-pregnancy — is Greek yogurt. She tops hers with fresh blueberries. But Kim doesn’t eat yogurt on its own for breakfast. She’ll also prepare some scrambled eggs and turkey sausage to make sure that she has enough protein to get through her morning. Kendall seems to be a fan of frozen Greek yogurt, and Khloé eats Greek yogurt with fruit, just like Kim.
2. Atkins nut bars
Another healthy food that People learned Kim Kardashian relies on? Nut bars from Atkins, which she typically eats as a snack in the afternoon. According to Kim, her favorites are the Atkins Harvest Trail Dark Chocolate Cherry and Nuts Bar, the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel Bar, and the Vanilla Fruit and Nut Bar. Her nutritionist approves, too, reporting that the bars make a great snack to reach for between meals. Atkins even offers chocolate peanut butter cups, which Kim uses to satisfy her sweet tooth without straying from her diet.
Like everybody else on the planet, the Kardashians and Jenners love avocados. One notable example? Brit + Co. reports that Kendall often turns to eggs, avocado, and toast for breakfast. She also indulges in guacamole and chips when she’s hanging out in her dressing room. Younger sister Kylie often shares Snaps of avocado toast for breakfast. And several of the Kardashian sisters are known to order guacamole when they make a pit stop for Chipotle — including Khloé, who even orders extra guac.
4. Coconut milk
Brit + Co. reports that Kourtney Kardashian maintains an organic, gluten-free, and dairy-free diet for herself and her kids. So on her website, she shared a look at the staples in her dairy-free fridge. One of the workhorses in her diet? Coconut milk. You can use coconut milk in just about any recipe. But Kardashian uses it to make avocado pudding. To make it, you just need one avocado, a cup of coconut milk, and Manuka honey. Sounds like a delicious breakfast to us!
5. Almond milk cheese
Another dairy alternative that Kourtney Kardashian keeps on hand? Cheese made with almond milk. Living without cheese definitely sounds like one of the most daunting challenges of going vegan or dairy-free. But as The Spruce reports, you can buy or even make your own almond milk cheese. It won’t taste exactly like cheese made from cow, sheep, or goat’s milk, but it makes a good alternative.
6. Fruits and vegetables
It sounds obvious, but whatever diet you’re following, you definitely need to include lots of fruits and vegetables. The Kardashian and Jenner sisters seem to have taken that wisdom to heart and all cite various veggies and fruits as staples. Sure, they all eat salads. (More on those on the next page!) But Kim is known to enjoy sautéed green beans or cauliflower. She also likes asparagus and even enjoys cauliflower macaroni and cheese. Khloé snacks on veggies or fruits during the day, along with almonds or an egg.
You probably already knew this, but you can’t eat like a Kardashian or Jenner without lots of salads. Glamour got the scoop on each sister’s favorite lunch order from Health Nuts in Los Angeles. Obviously, each one chose a salad. Kourtney likes a chef salad with chicken, but no tomatoes or cheese. Kim goes for a Chinese chicken salad. Khloé likes a Chinese chicken salad with avocado added. Kendall goes for a deluxe salad with chicken but no tomatoes. Kylie also likes a deluxe salad with chicken without tomatoes, but she specifies no cheese.
Surprised to see that some members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan eat pasta? Though several of the sisters stick with a low-carb diet, they know how to indulge just like the rest of us. Kendall Jenner even told People that she could eat her signature pasta with peas at every meal. The recipe, which she shared with the magazine, is surprisingly simple. The most important ingredients are fettuccine, frozen peas, and grated Parmesan — ingredients that a lot of us probably have in our kitchens.
9. Orange juice
Brit + Co. reports that Kylie Jenner says she always has fresh-squeezed orange juice in her refrigerator. She often reaches for a pressed juice to accompany her lunch, often a salad. But an important thing to know about her juice consumption? She reportedly steers clear of juice cleanses. The reason? She tried to do a juice cleanse once and gave up after a few hours to eat sushi instead. (We’ve all been there, Kylie!)
Several Kardashian sisters have mentioned hummus as one of their staples over the years. Kim told People that she eats four tablespoons of hummus with a carrot as a snack. Kendall keeps the dip as a snack in her dressing room, where she also enjoys it with carrots. Plus, Brit + Co. reports that Kourtney, too, often eats it as part of a healthy lunch, alongside vegetables, turkey, and gluten-free tortillas.
11. Lean proteins
Similarly, Kim and Kourtney both rely on lean proteins to create healthy meals for their families. (Or to have their private chefs whip those meals up.) Kim likes dishes such as slow-roasted lemon rosemary chicken, grilled lime chicken, or lemon thyme halibut. And Kourtney likes to top gluten-free or rice pasta with either chicken or fish. Brit + Co. notes that Khloé, who follows a diet her nutritionist formulated especially for her body type, prefers fish packed with healthy fats, like salmon or sea bass.
Even though the Kardashians and Jenners try to eat a healthy diet, they’re famous proponents of judiciously planned cheat days. Naturally, they have a few favorite fast food indulgences — just like everybody else. One that the whole family seems to enjoy is a trip to Popeyes, a chain beloved for its fried chicken and biscuits. Khloé and Kourtney have eaten Popeyes on a private jet, as have Kylie, Khloé, and even their mom, Kris.
Similarly, several sisters cite pizza as a favorite cheat meal. Kourtney especially enjoys indulging when she goes to Italy, while Khloé will reach for it if that’s what she’s craving when her weekly cheat meal rolls around. Both Kendall and Kylie also seem to indulge in pizza at least on occasion. However, Kendall seems more enthusiastic about it than Kylie — perhaps because Kylie has lactose intolerance. In fact, Kendall is even on record as loving “pretty much any kind of pizza.” The supermodel sister has scoped out some favorite pizza spots in Los Angeles, New York, as well as cities abroad.
14. Diet Coke
People learned that when Kim Kardashian indulges in fast food, she likes to wash it down with a Diet Coke. However, she specifies that it needs to have “lots of ice.” And, as some fans will remember, Kim made headlines by mixing Diet Coke with Diet Pepsi, which Vanity Fair characterized as “a toned-down version of the drink mix that sugared-up elementary-school kids have long referred to as a ‘suicide.'” Though Khloé doesn’t seem to drink Diet Coke herself, she does stock it for guests (along with Red Bull).
Eat This, Not That! reports that when she heads to McDonald’s, Kim Kardashian always gets a small order of fries. What she orders to accompany them varies. (Sometimes she’ll get chicken nuggets. Other times, she’ll get chicken nuggets and a cheeseburger and eat only half of each.) But we think she’s got her priorities straight now that we know she always gets an order of fries.
