‘Real Housewives’ Star Evacuated Irma on a Private Jet | She’s Not Sorry
A Real Housewives star evacuated Irma on a private jet, and she wasn’t sorry when people criticized her Instagram photo of her smiling family and dogs next to the plane. Lisa Hochstein, who starred in the second and third seasons of The Real Housewives of Miami, had posted the snap on Sept. 12. Those commenting called the photo “tone deaf” and “stupid.”
In the photo’s original caption, Hochstein thanked those “who have reached out to help, offer a place to stay, offer help to get out of Miami or just checked on us! And I’m sorry if I haven’t gotten back to all of you!” She went on to explain her family originally hadn’t planned to evacuate but changed their minds at the last minute, “which definitely made it difficult to get out.”
Among those who criticized the photo was Hochstein’s Real Housewives of Miami costar Joanna Krupa who posted two tweets denouncing those “showing off with their private jets in Miami” who were not offering help to families and animals who were stranded.
All those A holes posting and showing off w their private jets in Miami , why don't u offer help families and animals that can't get out ?

Otherwise stop posting and showing off when people and animals are being left behind during this catastrophic hurricane. Idiots !

Hochstein updated her Instagram photo’s caption with a lengthy response, including, “Although it’s no one’s business we were not the only ones in this plane. Every seat was occupied and my son had to sit in my lap. There were no commercial flights out of Miami at this point. EVERYONE IS POSTING ON SM about how they escaped! This happens to be mine and I don’t need to apologize or hide to ANYONE ABOUT HOW WE DO SO.
“Anyone with nasty comments needs to back off get off my page and worry about yourself and how you can help others instead of wasting your energy on attacking me.”
Hochstein is married to plastic surgeon Dr. Lenny Hochstein. The two have one son, Logan, who is 2 years old.
