The Most Bizarre Things Fast Food Workers Have Witnessed on the Job

Fast food workers often get taken for granted. We rely on them to prepare and deliver fast, cheap food, but they’re generally treated pretty poorly. On top of that, you won’t believe some of the crazy sights they’ve been subjected to. Read on to learn about some of the most bizarre things fast food workers have witnessed while on the job.

1. Taking “breakfast in bed” to a whole new level

“Once, someone drove a truck to the window with a bed in the back. Another person got out, put the bed next to the window, and ordered their food, sitting on the bed to wait. The driver left. After receiving her food the bed woman carried the bed to a parking space, got in, and ate,” Thrillist reported of a fast food employee’s experience.

2. A woman poured her drink all over her table because she didn’t like it

“A customer came up to order at Tim Horton’s and asked what we had that was similar to Starbucks. I suggested our iced cappuccino, which she ordered. A little later, I was cleaning tables near her, and she says that our drinks aren’t good and she isn’t drinking what she ordered, and proceeds to dump out her entire drink on the table before leaving with her friends,” a fast food worker told Cosmopolitan.

To add insult to injury, the employee then had to clean up the mess after the woman left.

3. A woman demanded a cup of free “Wi-Fi”

“When McDonalds first started offering free WiFi, we had it up on the sign and a notice on the drive thru menu. A woman came through the drive with, ‘I’ll have a weefee!’ So I ask, ‘I’m sorry, what was that?’ and she goes, ‘A weefee! I want a free weefee!’ My mind goes completely blank because what the hell is a weefee and my manager, listening in over the headset, starts laughing his ass off in the office and calls out, ‘She wants the Wi-Fi!’ So I tell her to pull around, and I’m all, ‘Dude, what do I give her?’ and the manager has me give this woman an empty cup,” Thrillist reports from a McDonald’s worker.

4. Monkeys want fast food, too

I work at an Arby’s in Indiana. About a year ago a woman came through with a pet monkey in a diaper on a leash. She handed me her money, acted like everything was normal. When I went to hand her the change the monkey jumped in the window took the change and hopped back,” said a Reddit user.

5. A customer insisted on ordering a completely vegan meal from Taco Bell

“We had someone come into Taco Bell and ask for vegan everything. I tried to tell her that everything is made in the same place, so there’s a chance it could be contaminated, but she still wanted to order. She asked for a vegan crunch wrap and vegan tacos, which is no meat, no cheese, no sour cream. It’s just lettuce, tomatoes, beans, and potatoes,” a Taco Bell employee told Cosmopolitan.

The employee went on to say that the woman had seen someone eating an all-vegan Taco Bell diet on YouTube, and that’s why she wanted to give it a try.

6. The nudist who loved McDonald’s

I worked at McDonalds when I was 16. We had a guy that would drive through the drive thru completely naked,” Thought Catalog reported an ex-McDonald’s employee saying.

7. Who needs a doctor when you have orange juice?

“I worked at McDonalds when I was 15-16 and a guy came through and ordered just an orange juice, the guy in the seat next to him had a nail from a nail gun through his hand and was shaking. The guy said the orange juice was to stop the guy from going into shock,” a former McDonald’s employee told Did You Know Facts.
