These Dog Breeds Are the Biggest Cuddlers
Though every dog owner probably believes his pup is the best cuddler in the world, some breeds are better at cuddling than others. Read on to find out which breeds make for the best cuddlers. Did your dog make the list?
1. Labrador retriever
Labrador retrievers aren’t one of the most popular dog breeds in America for nothing — they’re very affectionate and loving pets. They build strong, emotional bonds with their families, and are always in the mood for a good cuddle.

If you’re looking for a fun-sized cuddle buddy, Chihuahuas may be just the ticket. Fanna Easter, Petco national dog training specialist, says Chihuahuas “make ideal apartment dogs and terrific lap warmers on nippy nights.”

Old English sheepdogs are very cuddly animals. Not only do they love to lie around with their owners, but their warm, thick coats make for a great body pillow in the winter. AKC describes their personality as “adaptable, smart, gentle; OES are famous for their sweet, agreeable nature.”

Papillons, despite their petite size, make excellent watchdogs. They live for protecting their families. Though just because they’re brave doesn’t mean they don’t love to cuddle. They are true companion dogs and love to be by their owners, whether you’re out and about or lying around the house all day.
