This Is Everything We Know About Rudy Giuliani’s Alleged Affair, Revealed
The former New York City mayor and loudmouthed member of President Donald Trump’s legal team got himself in hot water again, recently. Rudy Giuliani bragged to his buddies about having an affair with a married woman with “big boobs,” sources tell The Post. The former mayor didn’t reveal the woman’s identity, but rumored mistress Dr. Maria Ryan also matches both descriptions. Here’s everything we know so far, including why we don’t trust him (page 8).
1. Giuliani has lied about infidelity before
While Giuliani denies the affair, this doesn’t come as the first time he’s done that, either. A day earlier, he also denied cheating on wife Judith Nathan with Ryan, before she filed for divorce in April. But Nathan called Giuliani’s assertion a lie, too. She told The Post, “My husband’s denial of the affair with the married Mrs. Ryan is as false as his claim that we were separated when he took up with her.”
Next: His excuse for hanging out with her is also the oldest one in the book.
2. Giuliani claims friendship with Ryan and her husband
While he denied any wrongdoing, Giuliani did say he knows Ryan and her husband. She manages a hospital in New Hampshire, and her husband served as a Marine. “I do know Dr. Ryan. She is a friend of mine, so is her husband, Bob. She’s a Ph.D. and a very, very fine woman,” Giuliani said, according to The Boston Globe. We didn’t realize academic degrees ranked as qualifications for friendship.
Next: He also had an excuse for his travels to meet her.
3. He visited her to learn about cybersecurity — or so he says
Giuliani and Ryan shared an intimate dinner and a movie at a resort hotel in Whitefield, New Hampshire just four days before Nathan’s April 4 divorce filing, The Post reported. But according to Giuliani, that visit came about as a result of official business. He said he traveled to the area to visit the Cottage Hospital Ryan runs, supposedly to learn about its cybersecurity system. That part, we do believe.
Next: However, the following evening holds less water.
4. They later enjoyed dinner and a movie together
That said, the pair later headed to the Mountain View Grand Resort and Spa in Whitefield, after the tour. Several sources reported that the two of them dined with three male guests in a private area. They then watched The Godfather and Godfather II in another private screening room.
Giuliani insists they did so as friends, adding, “I never spent the night with her. There’s no proof. There can’t be because we never did anything.” He also said he and his wife had “in effect separated” by then. So why the “just friends,” assertion?
Next: We have to question the following situation, for one important reason.
5. He booked a suite — but not to entertain, he says
According to Giuliani, he did book the hotel’s presidential suite, The NY Daily News reveals. “They might have [the suite] confused with the private room we went into to have dinner at the restaurant,” he said, of why reporters saw them together.
“There was no pleasure at all,” he said, of his evening. According to Giuliani, he booked the hotel’s presidential suite, because it was there, but not because he intended to use it for his alleged affair. “It’s not that big in that hotel,” he said. “That’s where I stay in many places when I go.”
Next: This does not mark the first time Giuliani and Ryan have spent time together.
6. The two have traveled together before
The first week of June, he and Ryan went to Israel together. That week, they visited the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem. In a press release about the visit, the hospital described Ryan as Giuliani’s “partner.” They also met up in New Hampshire Memorial Day weekend, The NY Daily News reports.
“Rudy was in Manchester, New Hampshire on Sunday, the night before his 74th birthday,” a source told the paper. On Memorial Day, he also hosted a party at his new Park Avenue bachelor pad. Guests included former Attorney General Michael Mukasey, ex-top cop Bernard Kerik, as well as Ryan, who he allegedly introduced to revelers as “a friend.”
Next: He also doesn’t have a great track record with fidelity, this affair aside.
7. Giuliani has married three wives, so far
Giuliani carries a pretty lousy track record, where marriage comes in. Nathan ranked as Giuliani’s third wife. He first married one of his second cousins, and then Donna Hanover. She later divorced him in 2002, after accusations that he had an affair with Nathan. In that way, his affair with Ryan comes as par for his personal course.
Next: He also had the gall to bring up this woman’s character.
8. He previously tried to question another woman’s reputation
Giuliani first joined Trump’s legal team to deal with issues related to the Mueller investigation. He also quickly made headlines when he tried to disparage Stormy Daniels. Trump allegedly paid off Daniels to silence rumors of an affair between the president and the adult film star.
“If you’re going to sell your body for money, you just don’t have a reputation. I may be old-fashioned, I don’t know,” Giuliani said. We would maybe agree that marrying your cousin counts an “old-fashioned.” But probably not in a way you want to brag about.
