This 1 Contestant Is Outraged He Wasn’t Featured on the ‘The Bachelor: GOAT’ — But Fans Don’t Remember Him Anyway
This summer, instead of a Bachelorette season, the franchise features The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever! Every Monday night, host Chris Harrison leads the audience through a condensed version of one season of The Bachelorette or The Bachelor. On June 29, 2020, the franchise featured JoJo Fletcher’s season, but one contestant is very upset that he was not included in the recap.
‘The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!’ featured JoJo Fletcher’s season
The recap of The Bachelorette with Fletcher was a fan-favorite. She had a great cast of guys, including Wells Adams, who became the bartender on Bachelor in Paradise. Harrison did a quick check-in with Adams and his fiance, Sarah Hyland (Modern Family).
Then fans watched some of the more memorable entrances to the mansion, including infamous bad boy Chad Johnson. Harrison highlighted a date with Chase McNary, and then the firefighter group challenge. Adams was featured again because of the awkwardness between him and Fletcher on their date.
Johnson also ended up with a lot of screen time on the recap because of his reign of terror throughout the house. Luckily, Fletcher sent him home before his behavior escalated even higher. The heartbreaking departures of Derek Peth, Luke Pell, and McNary were also highlighted.
Harrison checked in with Peth, Pell, and then Tyler Cameron. Of course, the host had to bring on the new Bachelor star, Matt James. Then we watched it come down to the final two men, Robby Hayes and Jordan Rodgers.

Missing from the highlight reel of Fletcher’s season of The Bachelorette was James Taylor. The singer-songwriter made it to the top five and week 7; however, Harrison didn’t check in with him. The show also gave him very little screen time in the recap, so he took to social media to express his rage over being left out.
“@fleissmeister & crew hate me because I openly support our President,” Taylor tweeted. “[I] knew they’d cut me out tonight.”
Taylor tagged The Bachelor creator, Mike Fleiss, in his message. He also added that he no longer wants to be a part of Bachelor Nation.
“You’ll never hear from me in this world again,” the musician wrote. “God Bless.”
Fans pointed out that Taylor wasn’t a large part of ‘The Bachelorette’s season
“Relax James,” wrote one fan on Reddit. “They cut you out because you weren’t that important, sorry to break it to you.”
Others added that it is strange when contestants talk about the show and say, “my season,” when they were not the lead. Some fans even wrote that they hardly remembered Taylor on the show.
“Literally, the only thing I remember about you being on the show is that you had the same name as a real musician,” one fan replied to Taylor’s tweet.
Many fans agreed that he wasn’t a memorable contestant and didn’t make it far enough to be highlighted. They don’t feel that the lack of screen time has anything to do with Taylor’s political beliefs.
