11 Times Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Showed PDA

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have never been afraid of a little PDA, or public displays of affection. They can hand hold with the best of ‘em — Prince Harry made headlines for a double hand hold last year — even to the point where it’s reportedly irritated British citizens and the couple’s dinner guests because the two insist on sitting next to each other while etiquette says otherwise. 1. Holding hands during their first public outing

Prince Harry and Markle made their first public appearance as a couple when they attended the Invictus Games, an event created by the Duke of Sussex, held in Toronto — where the former Suits actress lived — in September 2017. They laughed, whispered to each other, and held hands. 

2. In love at engagement announcement

Two months later on Nov. 27, 2017, at an official photocall in Kensington Palace’s Sunken Garden, Prince Harry and Markle were in love announcing to the world their newly engaged status.

They smiled, held hands, and left walking arm in arm.  

3. Walkabout with PDA

During a walkabout at Cardiff Castle in January 2018, they greeted crowds and showed some love while signing autographs. 

4. First kiss as a married couple

Upon exiting St. George’s Chapel, the newly minted married couple shared their first kiss.

During a carriage procession after their royal wedding, they held hands.

After outfit changes, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left Windsor Castle for Frogmore House, the setting for their reception, holding hands. 

5. Polo match kiss

Reminiscent of a sweet moment Prince Charles and Princess Diana shared a polo match years earlier, Prince Harry and Markle kissed after the Sentebale Polo match in the summer of 2018. 

6. Romantic walk

During their fall tour in 2018, Prince Harry and Markle — who were expecting baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor — took a romantic stroll at the Redwoods Tree Walk in Rotorua, New Zealand. 

7. Sweet moment in Morocco

During an official visit to Morocco, Markle rested her head on her husband’s shoulder at a local school. 

8. Holding hands in Sussex

While in their namesake of Sussex, Markle and Prince Harry couldn’t keep their hands off each other. Cozying up next to each other, the couple held hands. If that wasn’t enough Markle rested her free hand on the Duke of Sussex’s arm while the two beamed. 

9. Gushing over Archie

At their official photocall after the birth of their son, Archie, in May 2019, the couple inadvertently recreated their engagement photocall. They walked away — Prince Harry carried the newborn —  admiring Archie while Markle had her hand on her husband’s back. 

10. PDA in Africa

During their official tour of Africa, Prince Harry and Markle weren’t shy about showing PDA. At one particular event, they greeted crowds hand in hand. 

11. United front in London
