5 Movies Coming Out in March That Everyone is Waiting to See

February is wrapping up, which means the Oscar talk will come to an end and new movies will be available. This goes for Amazon Prime, Netflix, as well as theaters. But which ones are going to come out on top in the box office? We are getting cool movies all across genres from superhero action to family movies. These five are the ones that everyone is waiting to see, so you might want to order your tickets ahead of time.

The upcoming superhero flick shows Batman going up against Superman after his destruction hurts the city. We are also introduced to a new villain named Doomsday who is created by Lex Luthor. On top of the huge popularity of superhero movies, this one will bring a lot of audiences in because of the interesting casting. Ben Affleck is playing the Dark Knight after Christian Bale did a great job in the role. Also Jesse Eisenberg playing the bald villain is an intriguing choice. The movie will also be the first introduction of Wonder Woman.

The movie hits theaters March 25. According to Box Office Mojo, Man of Steel made $668,045,518 worldwide and The Dark Knight Rises made $1,084,939,099, so this movie should be a huge hit.

2. The Divergent Series: Allegiant

The newest installment of the Divergent series will pull young audiences in so they can see Beatrice and Tobias taken into protective custody by a mystery agency. This is all after Tris and Four escaped beyond the Wall into Chicago to find out what life outside is truly like. The movie comes out March 18. The series is clearly a money-maker since the first two movies grossed more than $550 million at the global box office.

3. Zootopia

This Disney movie is going to have families coming in to laugh. It follows a con artist fox and a bunny cop trying to uncover a conspiracy together in a city of talking animals. A big part of the promotion for the movie is clips of the very slow sloths that work at the DMV. So it’s pretty funny for both kids and adults. The movie hits theaters on March 3. Given Disney’s great track record including Frozen, which made $1,276,480,326 worldwide according to Box Office Mojo, this should be a success.

4. My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2

After 14 years, the original romantic comedy gets this sequel showing the Portokalos family preparing for another Greek wedding. The original cast came back for this new installment, and hopefully they will bring the funny again. Although the movie won’t break any records, the familiarity audiences have with the characters will bring them back to theaters. The movie comes out March 25. The first one made $368,774,044 worldwide, according to the Box Office Mojo. Maybe after years of more people watching the first movie, this one will be able to surpass the original’s opening weekend numbers.

5. 10 Cloverfield Lane

The mystery shows a woman waking up in a basement after a car accident. She is told by a man that he saved her life from a chemical attack. The movie looks interesting, with John Goodman as the creepy man keeping the woman captive. The mysterious premise may just be intriguing enough to pull audiences in to find out the ending. The movie opens March 11 before the big hitters of the month come out.
