Aside from their day-to-day lives as public figures and paparazzi victims, Kardashian and Markle share friends, life practices, and even style preferences. From their clothing choices to their morning rituals and more, here are five things Kim Kardashian and Meghan Markle have in common.

Both are friends with Chrissy Teigen

According to Harper’s Bazaar, Teigen and Markle became friends when they starred on the same show – Deal or No Deal – back in 2007. As for Kardashian and Teigen, the two have been friends for almost a decade, according to Bustle; they met on a double date back in 2010.

Kim and Chrissy – both married to musicians and raising a family alongside bustling careers – are not short on similarities, or conversation topics.

Both have serious morning routines

Kim Kardashian and Meghan Markle do not go from drab to fab without putting a little bit of work in.

According to Finn McCrae, Kim Kardashian’s alarm goes off at 5:45 am every morning. Yes, this includes weekends. Once she summons enough energy, the workout begins. Kim Kardashian has revealed secrets for losing baby weight in the past. However, her personal trainer, Melissa Alcantara, definitely deserves a lot of credit, according to McCrae.

In a similar vein to Kim Kardashian, Meghan Markle starts the day off with a consistent early morning routine. According to Vanity Fair, Markle wakes up at 4:30 am for a mentally rejuvenating and physically empowering yoga session. She follows the workout with a healthy breakfast and a little bit of music.

If there’s one thing that these two influencers can teach us: waking up early is not a suggestion for success, it’s a requirement.

Celebrity hairstylist Michael Silva is their beauty guru

Michael Silva worked on Meghan Marke’s hair throughout her run on Suits and is the behind several of Kardashian’s most iconic hairstyles, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

The two brunettes – boasting healthy, luscious locks – require a hair guru to create their perfected, public images. Michael Silva – with vast experience styling for Vanity Fair and other major fashion and entertainment magazines – was a shoo-in for the job.

They have a similar fashion sense

Both Meghan Markle and Kim Kardashian wore Givenchy gowns on their wedding day, according to Harper’s Bazaar. Both dresses featured a simple silhouette with a bateau neckline and a triple silk organza underskirt.

However, this was not the only time they showed similar fashion preferences. Both have worn a Jackie Onassis-inspired dress by Black Halo; however, Kardashian sported the look in white back in 2007, while Markle donned the dress in black at a Commonwealth event more recently, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

Classic looks never go out of style; however, it’s no surprise that Markle, now a Duchess, sported the dress in a less attention-grabbing shade.

They use the same makeup

Both Meghan Markle and Kim Kardashian select Giorgia Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation at the makeup counter. However, while sharing similar product preferences, their application methods are a bit different.

Meghan Markle likes to let her freckles shine through; she keeps the coverage light and natural. Kim Kardashian, as is evident from her Instagram, goes for a more “full-coverage” look, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

Kim may now use her own product line; however, whether this is due to true preference or promotional needs is up for debate.

From forgetting that a snooze button even exists to hanging with Chrissy Teigen and picking out outfits, the Duchess of Sussex and the Media personality have a bit more in common than you may have initially realized. Success and influence may come in different forms, but there may just be one underlying recipe.
