7 Celebrities Who Do Not Dress Their Age

Celebrities have a seemingly limitless access to the world’s best fashion so we often judge them harshly on what they’re wearing. There are some celebrities that never let us down and are Hollywood’s best dressed. But then there are others that have been criticized for being too weird or simply “not dressing their age.”

Sadly, society can be ageist and pigeon hole older people into looking a certain way. But some celebrities refuse to listen to those rules and therefore break them. So which celebrities don’t care about dressing their age? These seven have stayed true to themselves in their older years.

The rapper and actor is known for being a part of the group, Public Enemy. As the hype man he was known for his crazy catch phrases like “Yeah boy!” and wearing a big clock around his neck. So why did he pick that as his signature? It actually has a deep meaning.

“The reason why I wear this clock is because it represents time being the most important element in our life,” he said, according to Yahoo. “Time can’t afford to be wasted, but not only that, but God only gave us one life. Each minute we live, we got to live each second to our best value. Time brought us up in here, and time can also take us out.”

Now in his 50’s he still wears his clock for public appearances and on his reality shows, Flavor of Love, Strange Love, and Surreal Life. Some people might think this is less fitting than for his young years. However if you had a fun public persona why would you ever want to outgrow it?

Some might think that she has outgrown the style, but she has shown that you can stay fabulous at any age since she’s rocking it in her 70’s.

The Queen of Pop broke down boundaries when it came to women’s sexuality from wearing bras with pointed nipples on tour, and publishing a book called SEX full of risky photographs. So it’s no surprise that she’s still doing it in her late 50’s. She is still on tour and performing at award shows in revealing outfits. She has gotten some flack for it, but if you’re the Queen of Pop you probably know that you can do anything no matter what people say.

The retired boxer went on to act in many action movies including The Wrestler, Sin City, and Iron Man 2. He also has an interesting taste in style. He wears flashy suits, still rocks his long hair, and has even tried jumping onto the hipster man bun train. You’re definitely not seeing your average man in his sixties dressed this way, but Mickey Rourke isn’t an average guy.
