Every day is National Cat Day for celebrities who own cats. Money previously used for expensive necklaces and couture designs now go towards diamond-encrusted collars and porcelain food bowls for celebrity companions. Read on to see which celebrities think their pets are the cat’s meow today, and every day.

Swift is the Queen of cats. The singer has three kitties: Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson, who are Scottish Folds (to celebrate her love of Grey’s Anatomy and Law & Order: SVU).

Her third, and newest baby, Benjamin “Benji” Button, who she fell in love with after meeting him on the set of her music video with Brenden Urie, “ME!”

“I have cats. I’m obsessed with them,” Swift previously told Time“They’re very dignified.”

Martha Stewart

There’s likely nothing Stewart can’t do, including house the most photogenic feline, her cat, Princess Peony. This calico critter lives amongst Stewart’s five dogs: two Frenchies (Bete Noir and Crème Brûéle), and three Chow Chows (Empress Chin, Peluche, and G.K.).

Stewart also cares for a slew of other animals, such as her 13 peacocks and 45 canaries. She’s one busy woman.

The Vampire Diaries actor is a major animal lover. He and his wife, Nikki Reed, own and foster felines in need.

The pair attended 2017’s CatCon in Los Angeles to support cats everywhere. He’s even known for taking his cats with him on set.

Sommerhalder told Parade in August 2018: “Even if I’m exhausted and it’s 4 o’clock in the morning, I let them out in the hallway of the hotel or apartment I’m in, and run up and down to give them a little exercise.”

He continued: “I realize if anyone were to see that they’d think I was some crazy dude chasing a raccoon or talking to a squirrel in the middle of the night. It’s pretty hilarious when you think about it!”

Kesha

Kesha has three cats, Charlie, Mr. Peeps, and Queso who she posts about on social media often. Mr. Peeps is a rescue literally saved from a garage. His Cinderella story is something special. If being a cat lady is wrong then we don’t want to be right.

Norman Reedus

“My best friend is my cat,” the Walking Dead star told Us in 2014. The actor doesn’t leave home without his travel companion.

Ricky Gervais

As a massive cat lover, Gervais is one of those celebrities who loves to show off his fur babies. We’re not mad about it. He’s even had them star in some of his projects. Who’s the bigger celebrity?

Mayim Bialik

Bialik is keeping it real. Her eldest cat, Esau, is her “first son.” Esau is a Peterbalds, which is a hairless breed. She also has another named Shadow and posts as much as any proud mother would.

How to get that warm sound.

Holmes the cat, owned by Mraz, is truly living his best life. Mraz is known for making decisions based on what Holmes needs. For instance, not extending his role in the Broadway show, Waitress. His reason? It would’ve been too much time away from Holmes.

Willow got into Halloween for a hot sec

Beckinsale’s two cats, Clive and Willow, are the real stars of the show. She confessed on The Late Show with Stephan Colbert that Clive dresses up.

“My cat is quite stupid, and I say that with love, but does really enjoy dressing up. The trouble is he has resting b*tch face and always looks angry, but he’s actually really happy about it.”
