’90 Day Fiance’: Big Ed Says Things with Rosemarie Are About to Get Way Worse
90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days is in full swing and the couples are slowly starting to meet one another in person. On Sunday’s episode, Ed Brown, also known as Big Ed, flew to the Philipines to meet his girlfriend, Rosemarie. During their entire online courtship, Brown had been lying to Rosemarie about more than a few things. In last night’s episode, things seemed fine between them, but in a recent interview, Brown revealed that things between him and his girlfriend get pretty rocky.
What did Ed lie about?
Before meeting Rosemarie in person, Brown told her that he was 5’2″ when in reality he is 4’11. When they met, Rose was viably shocked by his height and told him so. He told her that he thought he would not have had a chance with her had he not lied about his height.
As this was a superficial lie, he and Rose might be able to get over it, but there is one other thing that he hasn’t told her. He does not want any more kids and actually wants to get a vasectomy. Rose, on the other hand, wants at least one more child.
Does Ed Regret his lies?
Brown definitely wishes that he had been more truthful at the beginning of his relationship.
“So, I wasn’t completely honest with Rose about [my height] and a couple of other things,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s never a good idea to lie. You have to be honest and I’m learning that even if you have strong feelings for someone, it’s better to get it out in the open. If not, it’s gonna come back and bite you.”
Brown hadn’t dated anyone in almost three decades before Rose so he wasn’t exactly well-versed in how to go about dating someone.
“I don’t think I could’ve made a better fool of myself,” he told the outlet. “When you’re in love, you’re not thinking. You’re not thinking about anybody else but yourself and the person you’re in love with.”
Does Ed think Rose loves him?
When people go on 90 Day Fiance, fans always worry that the relationships are really about money and not love.
Before meeting Rose, Brown had already spent $5,000 on her. Then, her sister messaged him asking for money.
“Oh, that freaked me out,” he said of Rosemarie’s sister’s request. “That was weighing heavy on my mind all the way that flight over. I was thinking about that like, what if this is a scam? What if Rose is in on it? And after 28 years, here we go again, I failed. I failed. So, that just kept going through my mind.”
But regardless of his doubts, Brown really did love Rose.
“What I can say is for me it was real,” he says of their love. “It was real for me.”
Do Ed and Rose end up together?
Though the season is just getting started, it’s clear that there is some trouble lying ahead for Brown and Rosemarie. But Brown has been tight-lipped about how things have turned out between him and Rose.
“The only thing I could tell you is it’s going to be exciting,” he said. “It’s going to be a lot of fun, a lot of heartbreak, a lot of emotions. You just gotta pay attention.”
