’90 Day Fiancé ‘: Are Jasmin Lahtinen and Blake Still Together
90 Day Fiancé is back with Season 7, and you know what that means — more drama. Fans of the show certainly aren’t strangers to the problems these hopeful lovebirds often face. These can range from the expected visa issues, to cheating, to money arguments, and in some cases, to the sense that one person is taking advantage of the other.
In fact, some fans think the latter might be the case when it comes to new 90 Day Fiancé couple Blake and Jasmin Lahtinen. Is there a chance Lahtinen is using Blake for a visa? And is the couple still together today?
Long-distance love
Blake and Jasmin Lahtinen originally met each other online. According to Blake, he fell head-over-heels as soon as he saw Lahtinen’s dating profile.
“When I first saw Jasmin online, I thought she was beautiful. She has brown hair, beautiful brown eyes, beautiful teeth, beautiful smile. I could go on and on and on. I wanted to know who she was. Her profile said she was in L.A. but she tells me she’s in Finland. So I’m just like, ‘Damn okay, this isn’t going to work,’ but at the same time, I really wanted it to,” explained Blake.
He continued, “I kept going back and forth from L.A. to Finland. I realized I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life. I asked her to marry me and she said yes.”
However, a promo for the new season of 90 Day Fiancé does raise a red flag. During the promo, Blake says, “I never expected to date a model. It may look like we have nothing in common, but Jasmin and I are meant to be together.”
In it for a visa?
Though it seems as if the couple is happy together in their promos, there has been some fan concern over whether or not Jasmin Lahtinen is in it for the right reasons. In fact, Lahtinen’s sister lives in L.A.
Lahtinen’s sister apparently won a “green card lottery” and moved to the U.S. as a result. Because of this, some fans have been speculating that Lahtinen may just want a U.S. visa so she can move to be with her sister.
This thought is troubling, given how Blake himself mentioned that the two don’t actually share that much in common. Additionally, Lahtinen did say at one point, “I don’t fit in with Blake and his friends.” Could there be trouble on the horizon?
Is the couple still together?
Entertainment Tonight recently interviewed the couple, and Reality TV World reports that they were allegedly holding hands during the interview, and Jasmin Lahtinen was wearing an engagement ring.
“You will see me go through some pretty rough — not stuff — but some pretty rough sh*t. So, it’s like a whole new experience for me. You know, taxes are high, that’s all I’m saying,” Blake told Entertainment Tonight.
“In the beginning it was kind of like, a little bumpy and smooth for us, but as it got down the line, it kind of got nerve-wracking and that can come from anything. You’ll have to find out,” he explained.
However, Blake did add, “It’s kind of hard not to speak highly of her. Whatever the outcome is of her and I, you know, it’s not like I’m going to be like, ‘Oh, I’m never talking to her again!’”
At the very least, that doesn’t sound like the attitude of a spurned lover. Perhaps the couple made it through everything intact.
