’90 Day Fiancé’: Ashley Martson Says Jay Smith Will Be Deported ‘Unless He Runs’
It’s hard not to feel sympathy for 90 Day Fiancé star Ashley Martson. After discovering her ex-husband Jay Smith was unfaithful, she filed for divorce. However, Martson has had to deal with a variety of other challenges, including hospitalization due to lupus complications and an ongoing battle with depression that resulted in Martson seeking professional help. To top it all off, Martson has made it sound as if Jay Smith simply won’t leave her alone post-divorce. Now, she’s saying that it won’t be long before he’s deported.
Jay Smith’s cheating scandals
Jay Smith and Ashley Martson were married in Las Vegas, but the afterglow didn’t last long. Only a day after their wedding, Martson caught Smith talking to another woman on Tinder. Martson claims she never got over that initial scandal. Eight months after catching Smith cheating the first time, Martson filed for divorce — but then took it back only 11 days later, seemingly ready to give their marriage one more chance. But, it wasn’t meant to be.
Ashley Martson caught Smith cheating again. Martson told Us Weekly, “I’ve been a train wreck all week, but I’m trying to get out. I had my heart broken.”
Martson also wrote an angry post on Instagram, saying, “It’s all fun as games until your ass gets deported. Have fun at the strip club with MY money and MY car you’re driving around without a license!”
An inside source told InTouch, “She has reached her breaking point and this is the final straw. She feels like she was an opportunity for him and she is hurt and disgusted.”
Ashley doesn’t want to see an upcoming episode
Since formalizing her divorce, Martson has been struggling to deal with an ongoing battle against depression. It got bad enough for Martson that she decided to attend a rehabilitation center for two weeks.
In a conversation with RadarOnline, Martson said, “At this time, I’m focusing on my happiness and my future to better myself. I appreciate the support from TLC and the audience of 90 Day Fiancé.”
Martson has decided that avoiding airings of an upcoming episode is best for her mental health, and has chosen to instead take a week-long cruise with her mother and children. During an Instagram Live session, Martson told Instagrammer John Yates, “No, not going to watch it, don’t want to watch it, not gonna rewind and watch it.”
Martson went on to add, “I have no ambition to watch any of it because I’m not even — listen, I have made comments about TLC and some things being, you know, a little dramatized. But what’s about to happen is as raw and as real as it possibly comes and it’s something I never want to relive again.”
Ready for him to get caught
Ashley Martson also discussed Jay Smith’s current situation with John Yates. It seems the 90 Day Fiancé couple have a hearing set for August 7 during which the court will determine Smith’s future.
Martson told Yates, “He will be deported on August 7 unless he runs, which is what I’m assuming he’s probably [planning].”
Martson went on to add, “The thing that’s really frustrating is he’s here illegally now… I did file for his adjustment of status, and then two weeks later he screwed up again, so I withdrew it.”
According to Martson, there’s also a warrant out for Jay’s arrest. “[Immigration and Customs Enforcement] has already been here to arrest him. They know where he works… I mean obviously if they come to my house at this point, I’m gonna tell them where he’s at. So I’m not sure why he’s still sticking around because we got a letter three weeks ago saying he has an active warrant for his arrest.”
