’90 Day Fiancé’: Caesar Mack and Maria Reunite — With a Price Tag
When it comes to choices that make them cringe, 90 Day Fiancé fans have seen it all. However, there’s one particular star this season that’s making fans facepalm — Caesar Mack. Mack is a self-described hopeless romantic who met his alleged love over an international dating site.
Viewers soon learned, however, that Maria has been receiving certain monetary perks from Mack — and that the two have never met in person. Now, after leaving Caesar high and dry in Mexico, it seems the couple might be back together — but at a cost.
A hopeless romantic and his hopeless wallet
90 Day Fiancé star Caesar Mack met his Ukrainian flame on an international dating service called Anastasia Date. Mack explained that men on the service can send gifts and chat requests to women they’re interested in.
Mack admitted to sending flowers and a card to Maria — for $450. But that’s not all the money Mack has spent on Maria. In fact, Mack confessed that he sends Maria $800 a month, and estimates having sent her around $40,000 already.
Mack has never met Maria in person, and many of his friends and coworkers think he’s being catfished. Mack explained that he has been hurt in the past, but remains a romantic, “I learned to do nails from my ex-girlfriend. She was my high school sweetheart, we dated for thirteen years, and when we broke up I was heartbroken. But, I’m still a hopeless romantic. It’s very important for me to have somebody that’s my soulmate. Somebody that I can walk the beach with, live my life, and basically live our life in like, a dreamland.”
“And I think I’ve finally found the one woman that I’ve been searching for all my life,” continued Caesar. “She emailed me back and there were immediate sparks. Yeah it was like firecrackers and everything were just booming off. She’s kind, smart, funny, she makes me feel special. She is my soulmate.”
Dumped in Mexico
The 90 Day Fiancé star set up a trip to Mexico for himself and Maria, hoping to meet her for the first time there, and to propose to her as well. Unfortunately for Mack, things did not go as planned.
Things looked hairy right off the bat, when Mack told viewers that he hadn’t heard from Maria for three days prior to his arrival in Mexico. Mack kept his head up high however, even when other guests at the resort told him that he’s probably being catfished.
Sadly, Mack’s worst nightmares soon became reality. On the day Maria was supposed to arrive, he discovered that she’d canceled the trip. Apparently Mack hadn’t sent along enough money for Maria to make it to Mexico.
Maria and Mack eventually chatted on the phone, and Maria ended things. Maria told Mack, “I don’t want to go to Mexico. Please, I really… I’m tired. Really tired. So please don’t book anything.”
Maria went on to tell Mack that he plays the victim too often, and said he’s not a real man. She added, “Yes, it’s over. You will live your life, I will live my life, OK? It’s over.”
Back together, with bills to pay
However, it seems as if Maria had a few more bills to pay, so she couldn’t give up Mack just yet. The 90 Day Fiancé couple is back together, in fact. During a recent episode, Mack revealed, “Even though Maria broke my heart since I’ve been home, we’ve been talking again. I’m not going to give up on her.”
According to Mack, Maria apologized for what happened in Mexico, and then they got back together. A producer, however, noticed a text message from Maria asking Mack for money to help pay for her bills.
When asked if he’d been sending Maria money again, Mack replied, “About like, two thousand, two or three thousand.”
Mack added, “You know, it’s just that I love her so much, so I just decided to keep trying to help her out. I really don’t think that she’s using me. She’s just… I think that she just needs a little help. Just hoping everything will work this time.”
