’90 Day Fiancé’: Colt Johnson Calls Jess Caroline ‘Jealous’ and ‘Insecure’
On 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Colt Johnson’s trip to Brazil with his mother to meet his girlfriend’s family has been quite eventful. From the beginning, there have been problems between Colt’s mother, Debbie, and his girlfriend, Jess Caroline. This week, things explode in the worst way, and it’s unclear if Colt and Jess can repair things and stay together.
Colt Johnson’s mother, Debbie, drops the truth on Jess Caroline
Vanessa Guerra is Colt Johnson’s friend, and a woman he admits to having a crush on. She is currently watching their cats back in Las Vegas, NV while Colt and Debbie are in Brazil with Jess. When they all arrive in São Paulo, they go to their separate hotel rooms. Debbie takes the time to call Vanessa and fill her in on the drama in Brazil.
When Colt and Jess come to Debbie’s hotel room to see if she wants to go out with them for the evening, Debbie mentions that she spoke to Vanessa, and that the cats are doing great. Of course, Jess questions the whole thing because she told Colt not to speak with Vanessa anymore. Debbie repeats what she said again, and Jess gives Colt a look. He lied to her and told her he would stop talking to Vanessa, but he never did.
Jess gets really upset, and Colt says Vanessa is just a friend. However, he’s admitted to the cameras before that he slept with Vanessa once and he has a crush on her.
“Vanessa’s a b****,” Jess tells him. Debbie starts putting in her 2 cents about the whole thing, and insists that Vanessa is a good person. Jess eventually gets up and leaves the room, and Colt and Debbie talk about things.
Colt says he’s ‘walking on eggshells’
“Jess just stormed off. I had no idea that Jess would become so angry when she learned that Vanessa is at my house babysitting the cats,” Colt tells the cameras. “But, I’m not going to just run after her because I think she’s just really upset. Honestly I just want her to calm down.”
Debbie says she’s sorry, and that she didn’t know how Jess felt about Vanessa. “I feel like I’m always walking on eggshells, and I feel very paranoid, and I can’t handle that,” Colt tells his mother about the whole thing.
Debbie says that she doesn’t understand why Jess can’t accept things. “If she can’t handle someone that you say is a friend, that’s a warning sign,” Debbie explains to her son.
Colt calls Jess ‘jealous’ and ‘insecure’
Colt says that if he wanted to be with Vanessa, he’d be in America, not in Brazil. However, that’s not the issue. The problem is that Colt lied to Jess, which made her get very upset. He goes on to call her “jealous and insecure.”
“On one hand I understand it. She’s jealous and insecure, but I trust her. I love her. I choose to be with her. That’s why I’m here. If I wanted Vanessa, I’d be in America right now with Vanessa,” Colt reasons. “Jess gets a certain way sometimes. She gets angry. I don’t know what to do.”
Debbie tells Colt he needs to figure out what he wants. She continues to try and make her opinion known, since she definitely isn’t supporting this relationship any longer. “If you don’t have trust in someone, you don’t have a relationship,” Debbie tells her son. She thinks it’s a “repeat” of Larissa Dos Santos Lima, his ex-wife, and she doesn’t want her son to go through an ordeal like that again.
Jess actually contacts Vanessa and finds out that she and Colt have still been talking. There’s a huge argument, and Jess even throws her shoes at Colt. She eventually leaves the hotel, and it’s unclear where things stand.
Colt and Jess are definitely going through some major drama on their eventful trip to Brazil.
