’90 Day Fiancé’ Sneak Peek: Colt Johnson Talks to His Mother About Their Relationship
On 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Colt Johnson is now single after Jess Caroline broke up with him. Jess came to Las Vegas to visit Colt, and she revealed that she had been contacted by different women. Jess claimed Colt spoke to them and sent pictures to them. On the same day, Colt revealed to Jess that Vanessa Guerra, a woman who Jess had a problem with Colt even speaking to, was living with him after needing a place to stay. After expressing complete shock, Jess left Colt’s house and broke up with him.
Colt is now fresh from another broken relationship, and this week, he works out and speaks to a friend about it. And in a sneak peek of the upcoming episode, he finally talks to his mother about things.
Colt Johnson talks to his friend about his relationship with his mother, Debbie
Colt tells the cameras that he’s at a “weird spot” in life. He says he doesn’t like what he sees, and he’s trying to lose weight. This week, he goes to work out, and ends up throwing up in a trashcan. His friend, Steve, meets up with him, and they have a heart to heart.
Colt says he’s been friends with Steve for about a year, and they’ve been hanging out regularly since Jess broke up with him. They put some work in, and Steve actually asks Colt if he ever meditates to deal with stress. He shows him a way to meditate, and he tells him to close his eyes and count to 10 slowly.
Colt’s mother gets brought up, and Steve says that the women Colt dates always seem to “have a problem” with Debbie, Colt’s mother. “I need to figure out a way to have a healthy relationship with her,” Colt tells Steve. “We need to have some kind of boundaries. She can still be my mother and love me, but I still need to take responsibility more.”
Colt admits that he doesn’t want to hurt his mother’s feelings, and he believes that she wants what’s best for him. He tells Steve that he needs to talk to her.
“My mother loves me very much, and I think she just never wants to lose me,” Colt tells the cameras. “But, I need her less involved in my relationships.”

In a sneak peek of the upcoming episode, Colt sits down with his mother and they have a discussion. “So what else is new?” Debbie asks her son.
“Sometimes I don’t want to tell you everything,” Colt tells his mother.
“I don’t think she understands exactly how I want her to treat me,” Colt tells producers. “And I really need to tell her these things.”
Debbie insists that Colt is her child, and will be even when he’s 90. “I don’t care if you’re 90 years old, you still are my child,” Debbie tells Colt.
Next, Colt tells his mother his opinion. “It’s not that I don’t want you to be too much of a mother, I just don’t want you to interfere so brazenly,” he explains.
It’s unclear where things go with this conversation. Will Colt be able to get his mother to understand his side of things? We’ll have to see how things play out.
