Caesar Mack and his Ukrainian online love, Maria, had one of the most notorious storylines on the most recent season of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Maria was accused of being after Mack’s money with no intention of ever being with him, while many viewers found Mack disturbingly naive.

Now, Maria and one of the show’s other most controversial figures, Darcey Silva’s ex Jesse Meester from the Netherlands, look like they’re hanging out in Barcelona. Meester recently took to Instagram to share cozy pictures and videos with Mack’s ex.

Maria and Caesar had an entirely online relationship

The relationship between Caesar Mack and Maria raised 90 Day Fiancé fans’ eyebrows right away.

Most notably, Mack never actually met Maria in person. They made plans to meet up in Mexico and elsewhere, but things fell through time after time. Mack reportedly sent over $40,000 to Maria over the years, hoping the two would eventually be together. But Maria finally broke it off, leaving Mack brokenhearted.

Maria’s appearance on the 90 Day Fiancé Tell-All raised even more questioned. After meeting Mack on a Ukrainian dating site, Anastasia Date, she admitted to having accepted money from him for years. “So it’s like, for Caesar, if he wants to have a girl like me, he should understand that he needs to work and do something,” she said on the reunion. “Go and make more money.”

Meester also appeared on the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Tell-All, sparking a fight between his ex Darcey Silva, Angela Deem, Avery Mills, and Tim Malcolm.

Jesse Meester posted photos and videos with Maria in Spain

On Nov. 17, Meester posted on social media that he had had valuables worth thousands of dollars stolen in Barcelona. “The I GOT ROBBED IN BARCELONA ⁣face,” he wrote on Instagram, claiming that the robbery took place while he was grabbing coffee at Starbucks and happened to look away. “Bag stolen. Passport stolen. Wallet stolen. $60K in watches stolen,” Meester added.

But he seemed to recover from the alleged theft and headed over to spend time with a fellow 90 Day Fiancé cast member later the same day. “Who’s that in the background? Who’s that blonde lady over there?” the model and motivational speaker teased viewers in his Instagram stories, panning from Maria to the rest of his destination as he showed off the beautiful interior of the El Palace Hotel in Barcelona.

In another Instagram story, he told the camera, “You guys, I’ve got something special going on. Because I’m here in Barcelona, but I’m not here alone.”

“I’m here with someone really special, someone really beautiful, someone really amazing,” Meester said of Maria. He also hinted that she had been misrepresented on 90 Day Fiancé.

Then Meester made the big reveal, tagging Caesar Mack’s ex on Instagram. “So happy to meet with you,” he captioned a cozy picture of the two of them meeting up for drinks at the swanky hotel.

’90 Day Fiancé’ fans suspected Meester was out for attention

In another short video, the 90 Day Fiancé star appeared to be getting ready to exercise with Maria on the beach. “Let’s do some workouts!” he said with his arm around Maria. Photographer Julia Di was also with the Dutch and Ukrainian pair, hinting at a possible photo shoot.

Some 90 Day Fiancé fans think the hangout was a ploy for publicity and attention. Under 90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates’ post about the meetup on Instagram, one fan wrote, “Man, he is desperate for attention. He is more of a diva than Darcey.”

Another Instagram user agreed, writing, “He will do anything to stay relevant… Without being on the show… He’s got nothing.”
