90 Day Fiancé couple Jihoon Lee and Deavan Clegg have been going through their fair share of struggles lately. The couple recently announced a second pregnancy, but was rocked by a miscarriage soon after. Sadly, Clegg’s miscarriage isn’t the only stressor weighing on the young couple.
Clegg recently revealed that there’s a much darker reason for her rapid move to South Korea — and that it all has to do with a dangerous family member. To make matters worse, Clegg is in hot water with fans after posting a story about Donald Trump to her Instagram.
A difficult time for the couple
The 90 Day Fiancé couple already has one child together, baby Taeyang. Jihoon Lee also helps Clegg parent her daughter, Drascilla, from another relationship. Lee and Clegg were thrilled to be expecting another baby together, but unfortunately, Clegg miscarried. Clegg uploaded an image of her sonogram to Instagram, and wrote a caption discussing how she and Lee are dealing with the event.
Clegg wrote, “A lot of people have been asking if I am pregnant. I haven’t address this head on yet. I want to first start off by saying, thank you so much for your support and love. With heavy hearts we have to announce sad news. Last Monday we did end up losing our baby. We are heart broken and focusing on healing.”
“I want to apologize for not telling anyone sooner. But we needed this time to heal as a family. A lot of people go through this, and we feel for so many people and wish everyone who has suffered through this same situation happiness and healing. We are healing and doing better, and want to thank everyone for your support during this very difficult time,” continued the 90 Day Fiancé star.
Getting away from a dangerous relative
Fans have wondered why the couple decided to relocate to South Korea so quickly. Deavan Clegg recently revealed that she has a difficult family situation that she needs to avoid, and that this was a big motivator for her rapid move to South Korea with Jihoon Lee.
“We have decided to move to Korea so I could be a stay at home mom and raise the children. This wasn’t an option in America until Jihoon could learn English. As well, I was in danger,” explained Clegg on Instagram.
“And America became a very unsafe place for me due to a family member. This family member tried to kidnap me and steal my car while I was pregnant. This action is what made us fully decide to move to Korea,” added Clegg.
“My family member is a dangerous person. So I’ll be in Korea for a long time. Because for some reason they keep letting her out of jail,” she concluded ina side note.
Fans push back after Trump post
In a move that alienated her more conservative fans, Deavan Clegg hosted a story about Trump, immigration, and racism on her Instagram. The story seemed to imply that Clegg and Lee felt as if Trump’s immigration policies were racist — it was a swipe up to read more story.
After receiving hate for the story, Deavan Clegg revealed that she didn’t post it at all — that a third party posts many of these stories, and that she and Lee are not allowed to give input.
Clegg took to Instagram to try and clear the air, posting a video explaining that she isn’t anti-Trump, saying, “We have nothing against the president of the United States.” Clegg made a few other questionable statements that riled up fans, including a statement that Jihoon Lee supports Donald Trump.
Fans were not happy with Clegg’s response. One wrote, “Jihoon is a Trump supporter? Damn.” Another added, “Yo just when I was starting to like them.”
“This is just bad. America is filled with racism… and she lived in Utah where I’m pretty sure 90% of people who live there are white,” added another Instagram user.
