’90 Day Fiancé’ Fans Joke About Lana’s Reaction to David’s Proposal
There is one couple that tried to take a big step at the end of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. After a long search, David Murphey got down on one knee to propose to Lana. The scene didn’t make fans swoon. Instead, they joked about her reaction. Find out what they had to say and more.
David Murphey went to Russia to meet Lana
Murphey has been talking to Lana for seven years. He failed to meet her multiple times in Russia. “The first time, she did stand me up. Second time, her brother died. Third time, she had a medical issue. She had to go have surgery and it put her out of commission for three weeks,” he said on the show.
This season, he took things further by hiring a private investigator to find her. The investigator said she had profiles on multiple dating websites. Murphey angrily fired him and decided to continue his search.
He tried going to the address she gave him but it was wrong. They finally met.
Lana said she wants to go to the United States
Fans got to learn more about Lana when she finally appeared. She lives in Kiev and claimed she liked Murphey for his profile picture and his sense of humor.
“I have never been in the U.S. but I dream to visit there,” she said. “I want to see the country of great opportunities. David lives in Las Vegas.I know that there are many casinos, a lot of bright lights.”
They went on to have several dates. He pushed hard to get a kiss on their bowling date. He also asked her to go to his hotel room and she refused.
Fans joked about her sad reaction
The finale showed Murphey giving her a cellphone so they can talk without the website that he’s been paying to use. He then proposed to her before he left for his flight. Lana said yes, which made him happy.
However, fans weren’t buying it. They made several jokes about Lana’s facial expression during the scene noting that it doesn’t look like a nice one.
Murphey previously told fans in an Instagram Q&A that he primarily dates women in Russia now. “I stopped dating in the USA 15 years ago,” he wrote. “Every time I did I would start thinking about Ukraine, so I stopped trying so my heart was free just in case I went to Ukraine. I have dated well over 100 women in Ukraine. Turned down many marriage proposals and have been turned down twice myself.”
Soon fans will find out if Murphey’s relationship worked out. Sunday, June 7, the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Tell All will air on TLC.
