’90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After’: Jay Admits to Cheating on Ashley in a Barbershop Bathroom
Marrying someone who you’ve only physically been in the same space with a couple of times is always risky. The risk level is even higher when you’re an American citizen who plans to bring someone over on the K-1 visa. In this case, there are always concerns that one person could be using the other for the visa and not actually for love.
In Ashley Martson and Jay Smith’s case, the marriage was somewhat doomed from the start. Not only was Martson significantly older than Smith, which raised some red flags, but there were rumors of him cheating on Martson when he was in Jamaica before they even got married.
Martson chose to ignore those rumors and move forward with her marriage to Smith anyway. Even when her best friend tried to warn her of Smith’s philandering ways, she cut her friend out of her life and clung tighter to Smith.
The couple decided to elope after their friends and family were not supportive of their union.
What happened after Smith and Martson were married?
Soon after the couple was married, Martson found out that Smith had been talking to girls on Tinder and was planning to have them come over while she was at work. Furious, Martson threatened to leave Smith, which would have meant that he would have to return to Jamaica.
When 90 Day Fiance ended, Martson and Smith were not on the best of terms but were still together. At the time, Martson was still debating whether or not she should end the marriage and was still working through her feelings of betrayal.
Smith admits to cheating
It seems that after the 90 Day Fiance cameras left, Smith didn’t change his ways.
On the first episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After, Martson got some unfortunate news.
After a girl began commenting on Smith’s social media, Martson went to the barbershop that Smith often hung around to get to the bottom of the story. One of the men there told her that Smith had been caught having sex with a woman in the bathroom during the workday. He even showed her a video of him confronting Smith about the incident.
Martson then called Smith, who eventually admitted to the act.
“Everything that you heard happened,” he told her. ” I’m not going to deny it or anything like that. It just happened.”
He claimed that he and the woman did not have full intercourse.
Upset, Martson told Smith that she was going to pack up his things and that if he came back to her house, she would have him deported.
While she was packing, the woman in question called Martson and revealed that Smith had lied once again. She claimed that she had actually had intercourse with Smith and not just oral sex.
“He’s f—king disgusting,” Martson said. “I’m done.”
What happens now?
After the episode aired, Martson went on Instagram and claimed that Smith is set to be deported in August.
“He will be deported on August 7 unless he runs, which is what I’m assuming he’s probably [planning],” she said on the live Q&A. “The thing that’s really frustrating is he’s here illegally now … I did file for his adjustment of status, and then two weeks later he screwed up again, so I withdrew it.”
