’90 Day Fiancé’: How Do Things Go the First Time Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi Meet in Person?
On season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Angela Deem meets Michael Ilesanmi for the first time all the way over in Nigeria. Angela is from Hazlehurst, Georgia, and she met Michael online. Despite the distance, the couple chooses to meet in person. How does it go? We have all the details below.
Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi prepare to meet for the first time
Angela caught a flight to meet Michael. It’s a nerve-racking moment, since she’s never seen Michael in person before. With emotions running high, Angela touches down at the airport, and makes her way outside to find her love.
“I just landed in Nigeria, and I’m about to meet Michael for the first time,” Angela explains to the cameras. “Michael and I met online, eventually we fell in love, but we’ve never met each other. People think he’s scamming me because I’m 52, he’s 30…And I know he’s the one.”
Angela has a huge smile on her face, and she seems excited. “When I first see Michael, I’m going to be a nervous wreck,” Angela continues. “I tell Michael, I say, ‘You know that first kiss, I’ll know if you love me or not.’”
Michael waits patiently outside for Angela to emerge from the airport. “If Angela looks older or less attractive than I thought, I will be kind of disappointed,” Michael tells producers. He says he’s “nervous” and his hands are sweating.
Angela runs toward Michael
Angela heads outside, and when she sees Michael, she drops her bags and runs toward him. They embrace, clearly happy to be in each other’s arms. They kiss and continue hugging. “You’re not short,” Angela says as she holds Michael’s head.
“When I first saw Michael, I couldn’t hold myself back, you know?” Angela says to the cameras as she stands by Michael’s side. “I just had to run to him… I wasn’t planning on kissing him, it just came from the heart, and that’s it.” They kiss again while talking to the cameras.
When Michael talks to producers, he mentions that “she looks older” than in her pictures. But he says he’s “happy” and “overwhelmed.”
They both say that they’re “happy,” and Michael assists Angela with her bags. They head off to his car and get ready for the rest of their stay together.
“Angela is different from what I was expecting,” Michael tells the cameras. “She’s kind of loud.” Despite that, the two still manage to stay together despite a lot of drama over the years.
Fans know that this is just the start for these two. They wind up on 90 Day Fiancé, as well as 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After. Their relationship is a favorite among fans, and they recently got married in Nigeria together.
This couple’s journey is far from over, and we can’t wait to see where things go from here.
