90 Day Fiancé star Larissa Dos Santos Lima and her boyfriend Eric Nichols have officially split up. The reality television star has already undergone one major relationship ending — she and her 90 Day Fiancé husband Colt Johnson divorced after a tumultuous relationship fraught with domestic violence.
Lima seemed happy with her new love — however, she recently deleted every picture of him from her Instagram. Now, they’ve officially split, and Lima wants to clear the air on why.
A history of domestic violence
Larissa Dos Santos Lima and Colt Johnson met in Mexico, and it seems the two rapidly fell for each other. Only five days later they got married and began their 90 Day Fiancé journey together. Unfortunately, whatever happiness followed their marriage was short-lived. It soon became apparent that Lima had a violent side.
In January 2019, Lima was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence against Colt Johnson. This was actually Lima’s third arrest when it comes to domestic violence in the United States. Officer Jay Rivera said, “[Colt] had a swollen lip, and his gums and teeth were bloodied.” Rivera clarified that Lima was the aggressor in this case.
Lima had scratched along her face and body, but they were determined to be self-inflicted when it was discovered that Johnson is a nail-biter. Lima was ordered to serve 48 hours of community service as a result, and was also charge da $350 fine.
Lima’s attorney previously informed E! News, “Everything went according to plan. The judge accepted the negotiations to reduce her case down to a disorderly conduct upon successful completion of her requirements.”
Dealing with anxiety and depression
The 90 Day Fiancé star recently opened up to her fans to discuss her battle with anxiety and depression during that time in her life. According to Lima, her battle began after she was arrested in June 2018, also for domestic violence.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Lima wrote, “I was devastated, emotionally exhausted, and my entire body ached from depression.” Lima went on to add, “Sometimes, I was filmed while being on pain killers. I couldn’t move, do basic activities, or take care of myself.”
According to Lima, this is an opportunity for growth and learning. “I now see that my being [arrested] was a blessing, as l have the knowledge now to give back in a way that would not [have] been possible if it didn’t happen to me,” she wrote. It sounds as if Lima is trying to approach her challenges from a positive mindset.
Dumped via Instagram?
Following her recent revelation, Lima broke up with her boyfriend, Eric Nichols. However, it seems as if she might have done it over Instagram. Lima wrote a note on Instagram entitled “Break up Note.”
Lima wrote, “There is no hard feelings or regrettees [sic], but I need to look in my own soul and focus on being the best Larissa I can be.” She added, “I try to heal one painful breakup by jumping in relationship with Erickee [sic] but I know now I need to work on me and focus on my healing of my scars.”
Lima went on to say, “I not sure what will come of the future but I am excited for it. I look forward to this time in my life as a reflection on my own personal dreamees [sic] and goals I set to do. Thank you for all your love, strength and support to me always.”
Meanwhile, Nichols seemed somewhat taken by surprise. He briefly changed his Instagram bio, writing, “Dumpedbyagirlon9/11?Thru a post?My mother saw 2 calltotell me about?I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER 2 BE ME & 2 die on my feet then live on my knees [sic].”
Lima, however, added a message to her Instagram story that read, “I have a limit and when you reach it I dismiss you from my life. It’s that simple.”
