The cultural differences and language barrier between Anna and Mursel have been enough of an issue this season. But Mursel’s refusal to tell his family back home about Anna’s three sons weighed on the couple even more on TLC’s Dec. 15 90 Day Fiancé episode, “The Truth Shall Set You Free.”

Anna’s bachelorette party was more intense than she anticipated

On “The Truth Shall Set You Free,” Anna and Mursel separated for the night as Anna celebrated her bachelorette party with friends. Despite Mursel’s objections to drinking, the bride-to-be enjoyed plenty of shots and started spilling details about her problems with her engagement. The night was “all a blur,” she said.

Anna told 90 Day Fiancé producers she was excited not to “worry about someone telling me not to drink.” “He doesn’t need to know my drinking stories,” she laughed to her friends at the bar.

The 90 Day Fiancé star even admitted, “He doesn’t want to kiss me or have sex with me if I drink.”

Anna’s friends began to notice she was having doubts that went beyond typical cold feet. “I feel like Anna has some reservations,” one of her friends confessed in an interview.

“I think she might be making a big mistake,” added another. “I think she might be rushing.”

Anna’s friends worried she was ‘confused about everything’

As the night wore on, Anna’s friends became even more concerned that the bride-to-be might me making the wrong decision. Anna admitted she didn’t think Mursel was ready to be a parent or stepparent, saying, “He’s kinda like a kid.”

“I think she’s really confused about everything,” her friend fretted. “I think a lot of us are really confused right now.” She added that she didn’t know if Mursel was “the right person for her.”

One of the Season 7 90 Day Fiancé star’s friends even said straightforwardly, “This does not feel right to me. I’m just being honest. I love you.” Anna looked distraught as her friends told her the truth.

The ’90 Day Fiancé’ star’s friends encouraged her to give Mursel an ultimatum

From there, the bachelorette party took yet another worrying turn. Many of Anna’s friends and relatives didn’t know that Mursel was keeping her sons a secret from his family.

Horrified, the 90 Day Fiancé star’s fellow bachelorette partiers urged her to make sure his family knew before she took the leap of getting married. “I think you should tell his parents before you get married,” one friend insisted.

Anna took their concerns to heart. In fact, she said, “I share those concerns. Everything in my life revolves around my children. Mursel needs to tell his family. It’s not a secret we can keep. Or…it’s not a secret I can keep anymore.”

Anna told Mursel she was ‘done with this lie’

Determined not to hide her children any longer, Anna gave Mursel an ultimatum after her bachelor party. She told her fiance she wouldn’t be marrying him unless he told his parents the truth.

“I decided that I’m done with this lie,” the 90 Day Fiancé announced unapologetically.

“If you don’t tell your parents, I don’t think we will get married,” she informed Mursel using their translation app.

Both ’90 Day Fiancé’ stars called the other ‘selfish’

Mursel was disturbed and admitted to 90 Day Fiancé producers that he “wouldn’t have come” to the U.S. at all if he’d known he’d have to come clean with his parents. “My parents will be mad at me,” he told his future wife. “You’ve put me in an uncomfortable position.” He even said, “My parents will not talk to me for life.”

The couple argued about Mursel’s lie, with both insisting the other was “selfish” for their position on the issue. Ultimately, Mursel told Anna he wouldn’t tell his parents, but he went in to her and insisted, “still marriage,” while embracing her.

The previews for next week’s 90 Day Fiancé episode suggest that Mursel finally changed his tune…and things didn’t appear to go well at all.
