’90 Day Fiancé’: Nicole Nafziger Reveals She Won’t Be Returning With Azan Tefou — Here’s Why
90 Day Fiancé stars Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou aren’t returning to the show. In an announcement that surprised many fans, Nafziger recently revealed that the two aren’t interested in pursuing another season, despite the fact that they aren’t married yet.
The couple has gone through plenty of ups and downs during their time on the show. Many fans of 90 Day Fiancé view Azan Tefou as something of a player, especially after all the rumors that have been released about him via dubious sources. So, why won’t the couple be returning? It seems to be a personal choice, simply put.
Unmarried after all these years
After two failed marriage attempts, 90 Day Fiancé fans are beginning to wonder if Azan Tefou and Nicole Nafziger are ever going to get married. For their first marriage attempt, Nafziger tried to marry Tefou in Morocco. However, she apparently didn’t bring the proper paperwork to make it happen.
Their second marriage was canceled as well. This time, Nafziger claims it’s a result of money and time. Nafziger is known for doing frequent Q&As with her fans via Instagram. A fan asked Nafziger what went wrong with their second wedding attempt, and why the couple didn’t tie the knot.
Nafziger replied, “Too much pressure not enough time or money. You can’t rush this kind of stuff. Do it in the right moment and it wasn’t the right moment yet.”
A canceled trip
To make matters worse, Nafziger and Tefou haven’t seen one another in person for quite some time — and Tefou recently canceled a trip the couple had planned. Nafziger and Tefou were slated to see each other in Grenada, but Tefou canceled the trip among what he claimed was a “family emergency.”
Nafziger informed TLC, “It’s been a couple of weeks since the trip to Grenada was canceled. I am a little disappointed because I was really excited about it. The day we were supposed to leave, Azan called me and told me that he’s not going to be able to come.”
Nafziger later had a call with Tefou, in which she asked him about the “emergency.” She didn’t receive much of an answer.
“So is everything OK with that family emergency?” Nafziger asked.
“Yeah. Thank God, like, really like, things are getting better now. Seems like everything’s good,” said Tefou. Notably, there were no specific details included in his answer.
“That’s good I was worried. I know my family’s been asking what your family emergency is but I keep telling them that you and your family didn’t want to talk about it. I’m just sad that I didn’t get to see you like we planned. I was just excited,” said Nafziger.
The canceled trip left a bad taste in many fans’ mouths — especially after Tefou never revealed what the emergency actually was. For many 90 Day Fiancé fans, it smacked of fabrication.
Nafziger says they’re not coming back
Now, Nicole Nafziger has revealed that she and Azan Tefou are not signing on for another season with 90 Day Fiancé. This surprised many fans, as it seemed as if the couple were a mainstay on the show.
There was a rumor, possibly started by a fan, that Nicole Nafziger had been violent with Azan Tefou, and that she had been booted from the show as a result. Nafziger cleared the air in her Instagram comments.
A fan asked her, “Is it true that you and Azan won’t be on TLC anymore because you were physically violent with him?”
Nafziger replied, “No. We aren’t going to be on another season because we chose not to go on again right now.”
Nafziger’s reply does leave a lot to be desired. Why did they choose not to participate in the next season? Her answer does also seem to leave the opportunity for future appearances open.
