’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Evelin Villegas Thinks Nicole Nafziger is ‘Using Azan,’ Is The ‘Mastermind’
90 Day Fiancé fans are pretty accustomed to feeling worried for Nicole Nafziger. It’s no stretch to say that many of them are concerned that Azan Tefou is using her either for a green card, fame, or money. The couple has been engaged for years, and there’s still no marriage in sight, despite two failed weddings and a pile of controversy.
Now, one 90 Day Fiancé star wants to flip the narrative on its head. Evelin Villegas doesn’t see the situation the same way as many fans. In fact, Villegas believes that Nicole Nafziger might be taking advantage of Azan Tefou.
No marriage in sight
For many 90 Day Fiancé fans, Nicole Nafziger’s relationship with Azan Tefou has been a point of irritation. The two have been engaged for just about four years, and there’s still no wedding in sight — but seemingly not for lack of trying.
Nafziger and Tefou have already had two failed attempts at marriage. The first time around, Nafziger didn’t bring the proper paperwork for her marriage to Tefou in Morocco, which meant the nuptials had to be placed on hold.
The second time, Nafziger claimed there was a time and money issue. Nafziger held an Instagram Q&A in which a fan asked her why they canceled their second wedding attempt. Nafziger wrote, “Too much pressure not enough time or money. You can’t rush this kind of stuff. Do it in the right moment and it wasn’t the right moment yet.”
Since then, fans have been wondering if the couple will ever actually tie the knot. With their current season ending, it’s unclear whether Nafziger and Tefou will return to the TLC show, and if there’s any hope of marriage soon.
Evelin Villegas speaks out
Most 90 Day Fiancé fans are pretty sure that Azan Tefou is taking advantage of Nicole Nafziger and her perceived naivete. However, Evelin Villegas begs to differ. Her take on the entire scenario is the exact opposite.
During a recent Instagram Q&A, Villegas revealed that she believes Nafziger may be using Tefou. A fan told Villegas that it often seems as if TLC paints the immigrants as the bad guys in the relationship.
Villegas agreed, replying, “It’s like we’re always trying to get a green card or something like that.”
She went on to add, “I think Nicole is the mastermind of that and she’s the one using Azan, just saying.” She further explained, “Think about it … Azan cannot get to the [United States],” the reality star elaborated. I think she’s the one telling him … I can put you in and stuff. This might help you get a visa and she’s sending him money, but the money for him being on the show … I just think she’s the one playing.”
While Villegas does have an inside perspective regarding life in the 90 Day Fiancé world, some fans have a hard time accepting her thoughts after all of the recent controversy around Azan Tefou and the rumors about his family.
Rumors about Azan Tefou and his family
An Instagram user claiming to be close to Tefou’s aunt came forward with claims that Tefou and his family openly mock and laugh at Nicole Nafziger.
The user wrote of the 90 Day Fiancé star and his family, “I am a europian moroccan and i know his aunt. She laugh so hard about Nicole and they all know that Azan is not in love with Nicole and they support him in taking her money. They are NEVER gonne let him marry Nicole. Sorry for the bad English [sic].”
They added, “He dont want to leave Marocco. If he wanted to leave he could because his family have family in The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. He could marry a girl from heren but he want a good life in Morocco. He is lying about that he cant transfer money to her. The engegement ring was so cheap [sic].”
While it’s impossible for us to verify the accuracy of these comments, it’s alarming to think that this could be the case.
