’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Larissa Dos Santos Lima Says She’s Finished With ‘Men Trying To Exploit Me’
90 Day Fiancé star Larissa Dos Santos Lima is changing her approach to dating. That is to say, she claims she’s finished with men — especially those who try to exploit her. The reality star recently broke up with her now ex-boyfriend, Eric Nichols. According to Lima, Nichols has been harassing her and her friend since the breakup, something that surely contributed to her exhaustion with men.
The Instagram breakup
Eric Nichols reports that he didn’t know he was single until his mother called him. Larissa Dos Santos Lima broke up with Nichols over Instagram in a surprisingly public move. She wrote a breakup note on the social media platform detailing her decision to end the relationship.
The 90 Day Fiancé star wrote, “There is no hard feelings or regrettees [sic], but I need to look in my own soul and focus on being the best Larissa I can be.” She added, “I try to heal one painful breakup by jumping in relationship with Erickee [sic] but I know now I need to work on me and focus on my healing of my scars.”
Lima then added, “I not sure what will come of the future but I am excited for it. I look forward to this time in my life as a reflection on my own personal dreamees [sic] and goals I set to do. Thank you for all your love, strength and support to me always.”
Nichols, meanwhile, seemed shocked. He briefly changed his Instagram bio to, “Dumpedbyagirlon9/11?Thru a post?My mother saw 2 calltotell me about?I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER 2 BE ME & 2 die on my feet then live on my knees [sic].”
Nichols claims that he missed a text from Lima before busying himself with some work, and that he did not discover he’d been dumped until Lima had hit social media.
Reporting harassment from Eric Nichols
Now, Lima is claiming that Eric Nichols has been harassing her and her close friend since their breakup. Lima has filed a police report against Nichols as a result.
The 90 Day Fiancé star told InTouch, “Unfortunately, it is true that I had to file a police report against Eric. The day after the breakup, I began receiving calls and messages from Eric and women in regards to Eric. Only a handful of people, such as family, business contacts, and personal friends knew this number. Eric knew it as well.”
Lima added, “These calls appear to be an effort to provoke me. One of the callers told me that Eric had given her my phone number. I was sent angry texts to leave Eric alone. I had no choice but to talk to the police, make a report, and of course change my number.”
“Now, my dear friend is being dragged into this. The line was crossed with the lewd and angry calls, but to go after my friends that really are my family, is going way over the line and it will not be tolerated,” she concluded.
Larissa Dos Santos Lima is finished with men
With her police report filed, it seems as if Lima is ready to take a step back from men for a little while. “I’m done with men and men trying to exploit me,” she told Us Weekly.
This idea does seem to echo her sentiment from her breakup note with Nichols that it’s time for Lima to focus on herself. She recently reflected on similar sentiments when opening up about her battle with depression and anxiety.
Lima said she has been battling these feelings since her first domestic violence arrest in 2018. She wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post, “I now see that my being [arrested] was a blessing, as l have the knowledge now to give back in a way that would not [have] been possible if it didn’t happen to me.”
