’90 Day Fiancé’: Steven Frend and Olga Koshimbetova Officially Break up

Some fans think that once a couple makes it through their season of 90 Day Fiancé, it’s smooth sailing. But several couples have called it quits after the cameras stopped rolling, even after getting married. Fans have noticed that something seemed off about season 6 couple Olga Koshimbetova and Steven Frend for a while. Now, Frend has revealed that the two have split.

Olga and Steven’s relationship

Frend and Koshimbetova initially expected their romance to be a summer fling. The two met when Koshimbetova left Russia to spend a summer in America. Before long, she became pregnant.

In Season 6, Frend went to Russia so that he could be there when their baby was born. Unfortunately, Frend found it hard to adjust to Russian life and the two argued often. At the end of the season, it was revealed that Frend had lied to Koshimbetova about applying for her K-1 visa. Though he told her that he had applied for the visa months ago, that was not the case and he ended up having to go back to America without her.

Koshimbetova did eventually make it to America in December 2018. The two then got married.

Signs of a breakup

Fans have been noticing some cracks in Frend and Koshimbetova’s relationship for a while.

In Nov. 2019, Koshimbetova posted a picture of herself without her wedding ring. When fans asked her why she didn’t have the ring on, she replied, “it’s too complicated.

A few weeks ago, the Russian beauty clarified why Frend hadn’t been in her photos for a while.

“Where is Steven?” she captioned a photo of Frend and her son. “Where did you go? Why did you go alone? And many many others questions I received when I told that I’m going to California.

“For those who didn’t know, I have a family here,” she continued. “My uncle came here 23 years ago, alone, without perfect English, without friends but after all these years they have a big family which included friends and other relatives.”

Koshimbetova revealed that she went to visit her uncle so that she could get out of the house for a little while. She had originally planned to go in August but the trip was postponed due to wildfires.

“And another reason: why it was a good idea to go alone without Steven, because we finally started to miss each other😂😂,” she wrote. “Spending 24/7 with each other can be really tough. Did ever go somewhere without your partner? Or do you always together?”

Steven and Olga breakup

Though Koshimbetova’s post made it seem like the pair were back in a good place, Frend took to his Instagram stories over the weekend to announce that they had broken up.

“People keep asking if Olga and I are [together] but the answer is we went into this super blindly,” he wrote. “There’s a lot the show left out that’ll have people confused but we have learned a lot about each other over this whole journey but we’re better at being coparents to our boy. We are both civil and cause no drama because our son’s mental health is too priority. P.S. Don’t assume you know the full story from this one little post.”
