’90 Day Fiancé’: Sumit Admits that He Has a Secret Marriage — Hasn’t Told Jenny
When it comes to newer 90 Day Fiancé couples, Sumit and Jenny were previously a fan favorite. To many, it seemed as if the two were truly in love, and fans were charmed by the romance between these two people distant not only in culture, but in age as well.
However, things are starting to look a little rough for the couple. After arriving in India, Sumit’s parents were less than welcoming of Jenny. To make matters worse, it turns out Sumit is hiding a huge secret from Jenny, which would explain why his parents are angry with him — he’s already married.
Sumit catfished Jenny
Jenny originally met Sumit via Facebook, where he proceeded to catfish her. Sumit pretended to be a male model named Michael Jones. However, the two began to fall in love, and Sumit realized he needed to confess his true identity to Jenny. He revealed that he was an Indian man living with his parents in Delhi, working in a call center.
During an episode of 90 Day Fiancé, Jenny told the camera, “You know, what you do for love, sometimes is unbelievable. I think that everyone is entitled to happiness… I didn’t really think I would find love again, to tell you the truth.”
She added, “I was married for 15 years, Everything was fine as far as I knew, so when I found out he was leaving me for somebody else, that was a huge blow to my self-esteem. And after my divorce, life was scary.”
His parents disapprove
Unfortunately for Jenny and Sumit, Sumit’s parents don’t seem to agree that love is enough. Sumit’s parents were immediately disapproving of Jenny — originally, it seemed as if the issue might be one of age. Jenny is 30 years Sumit’s senior, and older than Sumit’s mother.
Sumit’s mother gave him an ultimatum, essentially telling him that either she would stay or Jenny, but not both. Sumit moved out of his parents’ house, claiming it was for work reasons. In actuality, he and Jenny were renting a new apartment together.
However, Sumit started leaving Jenny alone at the apartment, citing his need to go home and reassure his parents that everything is normal.
“He had to go back to his family’s house, so I’m just kind of by myself in the apartment now,” Jenny told the camera.
During a recent episode, Sumit met Jenny’s daughter, Christina. Sumit told Christina of Jenny, “I want to spend my entire life with her. Like, I love her truly. Like, you can say that most of the time, if she is not here with me, even if she is in a different room, I’m just thinking about her.”
“If you feel like that why are you going to your parents and leaving her by herself?” asked Christina. Sumit didn’t have an answer for her.
Sumit reveals he’s already married
Now, it seems as if Sumit’s mother might have an even better reason for disliking Sumit’s new lover. Recently, Sumit has been hinting that he’s keeping a big secret from Jenny.
“She gave up a lot for me and keep on thinking that we will gonna get married. It is very unfair to her,” said Sumit. “I have a big secret which I was hiding from Jenny. The big secret is that I’m married.”
It turns out all of the fan speculations were spot on. Now it’s a lot more apparent why Sumit is so concerned with visiting home and appeasing his parents.
